Jeremy Lamb Dunk: UConn Player Slams Over Columbia Defender (WATCH)

According to Urban Dictionary, "posterize" is defined as a "Basketball term meaning to embarrass some one usually while slamming the ball over them. It refers to the guy whos being dunked on in basketball posters."

In the future, this entry could just contain the YouTube video of UConn sophomore Jeremy Lamb rising (... then rising some more) and flushing a thunderous slam over Columbia defender Mark Cisco.

Not only did Lamb score the most impressive two points thus far in the college basketball season, but he tallied an career-high 30 on 11-for-17 shooting in UConn's 70-57 win.

"He's just a really good player. He's a really gifted offensive player. Very smooth, graceful," said Columbia coach Kyle Smith after the game. "Here's how good he is: I had no idea he had 30. I knew he played well, but I didn't know he had 30. The game is very easy for him."

To people asking/saying it isn't a poster shot:

Anytime someone's groin is in your nose on a basketball court while you are standing up, it's a poster.

It's always been that way ever since dunking was taken seriously. Testes on the face will make you famous.

I detest this viewpoint. Lamb made a great play on the kid that was defending. Happens all the time. Presenting it in this fashion--claiming that Lamb's dunk made this defender the definition of being "posterized"--is making it far too personal. Too much of this, and somewhere down the line some other kid who finds himself in a similar situation is going to put the offensive player in the hospital.

That was a wild play but in 10 years when Cisco is lunching at his country club after earning his Ivy League degree, even he'll share the story.

Looks like the defender flopped after trying to get a charge.

Wow. He dunked on a Columbia player. Do it against a top tier team and I'll say ok.

Lamb will probably declare for the NBA after this year, he reminds me of Tayshawn Prince. Long and lanky and makes smart decisions.

Obvious offensive foul.... Sorry.

No it wasn't, the defender was in the restricted circle

What was so posterizing about that dunk? One could call it a posterized dunk if the defender had attempted to block the shot, but he did not, he try taking a charge!
