Russell Brand In 'The President Stole My Girlfriend': Starring & Executive Producing

Russell Brand: 'The President Stole My Girlfriend'

Don't worry: Russell Brand and Katy Perry are still married, without any sort of interference from the executive branch. In the bizarro world of the big screen, however, the wiry British comedian is about to starting having some difficulty competing with a guy who can pick dates up in Air Force One.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brand will executive produce and star in the upcoming comedy, "The President Stole My Girlfriend." Not much is known about the film yet, aside from what he revealed in a cheeky comment to THR: "In this movie, the president steals the girlfriend of a sexy hippie -- me, obviously."

It will be the first film for his new production company, Branded Films, which he began this summer with a plea for ideas: "If you have any film ideas, send them to: Beau Bauman, the water tower, Warner Bros, Hollywood, America (care of E Fudd)," Brand wrote in a statement.

Whether E. Fudd relayed this proposal is unknown.

Brand misfired in his last big screen effort, the flop remake of the classic comedy "Arthur," but he will feature in the star-studded ensemble for the musical adaptation,, "Rock of Ages," alongside Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin and others.
