Taylor Garrett, Logo 'A-List Dallas' Star, Says He Is Victim Of Second Ann Coulter-Related Attack

Taylor Garrett's star turn on Logo's reality series "A-List: Dallas" is turning out to offer more than the conservative, Christian, gay Republican had expected.

For the second time in the last six weeks, Garrett is alleging that he was attacked because of his affiliation with controversial conservative commentator Ann Coulter, with whom he dined for a scene on the cable series, reports the Daily Caller.

Garrett told the paper that he was attacked outside of a birthday party he was attending in Dallas when he confronted a vandal who was scratching "Fuck Coulter" into the door of his car.

"I was at a party and one of my friends arrived and I had a present for him, so I went back to my car to get the present," he told the Daily Caller. "When I walked out to my car, I saw someone squatting next to my car."

Garrett says that after he asked the man what he was doing, the vandal punched him in the left eye.

The paper notes that Garrett provided photos of the vandalism and of himself covered in blood.

“The Democrats want me to live on their plantation as their slave, because I’m a gay person,” he said. “And I refuse to do that.”

In October Garrett claimed that a rock with a threatening message also related to his conservative beliefs was thrown through his apartment window. Many blogs questioned the validity of his claims, especially since there was no police report filed.

Garrett, in an exclusive interview with The Huffington Post several days later, provided two police reports and discussed the incident as well as why he believes so many in the gay community dislike him.

"I think a lot of people in the community don't want me to have a part of it because a lot of them don't agree with my political position," Garrett said. "This goes to show you that the gay community advocates for diversity and is against bullying, but in our own community we discriminate based upon if you're a Democrat or a Republican or if you don't necessarily fit within the mold of the political views of the gay community."

What's not being reported about this is that it took place at a sex club, where Carl Rove and Taylor Garrett were engaged in a competition with two gay Democrats to see who could service the largest number of strangers. Coulter turned to John Stossel and Dick Morris and proclaimed, "Our turboho's are way better than theirs."

Okay, I kid, I kid. Actually, I just get a kick out of rightwing people who read this story and decide to canonize the greasy little twerp. Garrett, I mean. (Miss Piggy, or Carly-Pooh as he's otherwise known, isn't so little.)

YEARS AGO, A PILLAR OF THE LOCAL LOG CABIN REPUBLICANS
ANSWERED A PERSONAL AD I HAD PLACED
..... not knowing that I was someone who had met him at charity affairs.

He said that he was masculine (delusional, in my opinion) but wanted me to "treat him as my little maid"

THIS GUY IS IN THE SAME LEAGUE

IF YOU ARE READING THIS, AND YOU THINK THAT BEING GAY IS WELL ACCEPTED TODAY, THIS GUY SHOULD MAKE YOU THINK AGAIN

Someone please show me any real difference between him and the sad Jewish folks who helped the Nazis, in hopes of being spared, themselves.
07:05 PM on 11/15/2011
The incredibly huge difference is that the "sad Jewish folks" were trying to save themselves and the lives of their families from being slaughtered.

If you're faulting them for that, your antisemitic attitude is rearing its ugly head.

There is absolutely no similarity between the two.

And on behalf of all Jews, G.F.Y!

SORRY you are so upset that you did not read clearly.

INTERESTING you assume someone with my last name is a Gentile -- suppose I were a Jew who feels that ALL people who sell out their own kind are equally bad? Suppose that SOME of the Jewish people who helped were bad people, not trying to save anyone else, aint it possible? And suppose you did not destroy the meaning of the horrible word "antisemitic" by tossing it around so lightly
11:39 PM on 11/16/2011
I made No assumptions whatsoever. I didn't base my statement on your last name, but rather on your egregious statement.

And yes, almost anything is possible, but to generalize the entire Jewish population is unjust.

That's a lot of "suppose" on your part as well now, and since you don't state specifics, but rather make seemingly assumptive accusations, my character definition about your slur of ALL Jews to make your heinous point, stands.

I "suppose" from my last name you might believe I'm a Gentile; you'd be mistaken.

To that, nothing here was destroyed but your dignity, by your own volition.

Have a nice day!

Isn't Coulter set to appear on his show soon. Convenient timing. Remember the Backward B Girl? Conservatives love beating themselves up so they can blame it on liberals.

Yes. he convincingly made the case -- anyone can see he is a pitiful self-hater who does not mind hurting his fellow Gays, in hopes that straight folks will like him.

Though Garrett has come out, he has still not accepted his gay identity. It is common for young gay guys raised by fundamentalists in red states to struggle with the realization that all their previously held political and religious beliefs are at odds with their gay identity. Many of them initially adopt the position that they are gay, but with the same right-wing political and religious beliefs. This, of course, is contradictory, because the repubs and fundamentalists condemn gays and oppose gay rights. I do not judge him too harshly, because he is young and still dealing with gay identity. As he matures, he will wince when he looks back on this phase - - right now, he needs a friend to clue him in to the ridiculousness of his current stance.

I haven't a clue as to his political beliefs, but I can say that I hold a number of beliefs that are classified as conservative. I also hold a bunch classified as moderate. I am not in denial of my gay identity, I simply don't fit the 2 party system....

The Democratic Party is imperfect, but it's a lot better than the Republicans on every single issue affecting gay people's lives. C'mon!

I don't think you have to be a democrat to be a self-accepting gay, but I don't think you can call yourself a gay republican fundamentalist christian without having some issues. Its kind of like being a black klan member or a jewish nazi. It is an inherent contradiction in terms. It shows that there are some identity issues that need to be ironed out : )

...And here I was thinking this was going to be a story about how his headshot was nearly photoshopped to death because he is a gay republican.

Hey Taylor ... tell your "boyfriend" Levi to get his nose fixed will you. (You wouldn't have to make fun of the way he laughs if is nose were straightened out.)

I'm just saying.

Perhaps Mr. Garrett will become the darling of the conservative right. Perhaps they will welcome him with open arms and hearts. But I would't count on it Mr. Garrett. However, the story may compel others to watch the A-List Dallas. Which is the whole point in the first place.

I read the Dallas Voice report on this and hsi story is chock full of contradictions. The primary one is where:
"Garrett said he begged the police not to put his name on the police report, because “I didn’t want to be in the press again about this,” but his friends convinced him otherwise"

Did his friends then convince him to run home and tweet a picture of himself with his ear and shirt still bloody. He also said he got treatment by an ambulance at the scene. If he got treatment at the scene - they would have cleaned up his ear. Why was it still bloody in the pricure? Why was there a picture - for someone trying to keep this out of the press - I'm thinking that tweeting a picture of yourself and telling everyone this story - well that's not the best way to do this.

He also mentions about not wanting to be on gay plantation. What exactly is the gay plantation? I sure as heck don't seen no cotton pickin' going on around here. He's treated the same as any other gay with a masochistic self-loathing fetish. We really don't care that he's conservative or republican - we may not understand "Why?" but at the same time we don't really care "Why?".

There was a video on YouTube of Ann Coulter in a gay restaurant in West Hollywood with a large number of gay men. Others in the restaurant recognized her and she ran away.

This guy is pursuing his 15 minutes of fame RELENTLESSLY. I only wish he understood that he is aligning against his best interests as a gay man. But then again you have all those conservative seniors who live off Medicare and keep voting republican.....
