Jody Williams, Nobel Laureate For Peace, Stops By #OccupyDenver To Voice Support (VIDEO)

WATCH: Nobel Laureate For Peace Stops By Occupy Denver

Jody Williams, author, professor and Nobel Peace Prize winner for 1997, made a stop at Occupy Denver to voice her support of the movement. As Williams says when she introduces herself to the Denver occupiers, she served as the coordinator of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL) and won the award in 1997 sharing with ICBL itself "for their work for the banning and clearing of anti-personnel mines," according to a Nobel Peace Prize release.

Williams, offering words of encouragement to the Denver occupiers who repeat her words using the famed "human microphone" technique, said:

When we started [ICBL], people said, 'you're nuts, it'll never happen, nothing will change' -- that is absolute bullshit. All you have to do is get off your ass and act and things will change. So thank you for what you're doing here. I just wanted to come and listen.
