Prince Charles Birthday: As The Royal Turns 63, A Look Back At His Youth (PHOTOS)

Prince Charles said it himself just recently -- he is a timeless man, not one to shift his style with the trends. But he did admit that his fashion sense changes "every 25 years"... so what did the Prince of Wales look like in 1986? In 1961?

In honor of the royal's 63rd birthday today, we took a quick jaunt down memory lane to see the prince back in the day, before the gray suits, the distinguished gray hair and the friendly old-man smile.

Spoiler alert: there are bolo ties, Hawaiian shirts, fur hats, plaid skirts and more teeny bathing trunks than you can shake a scepter at.

The "Royal" and I use that term loosely, family are the nasty ones.. remember recently when they took a detour on their way to a play so they could see the peasants protesting against skyrocketing tuition's? Why we American's care what the "royals" do is beyond me.

I like the photo dated 1957 with all his boy classmates. All those little guys have dirty knees, so good hard exercise was and is the British way.

He was probably making them bow down to him. I stopped liking him when he drove through the college tuition protesters just to see how the peasants were doing. England should do away with the whole King thingy... it is old and outdated and we would all be better off without it.
