Kate Middleton Pregnant, Says In Touch Weekly: Report (PHOTOS)

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 11/16/2011 12:58 pm Updated: 11/18/2011 1:23 pm

Is Kate Middleton pregnant for real this time??

In Touch says yes! The mag just reported that the Duchess of Cambridge is six weeks pregnant with her first child with Prince William.

As is to be expected, the details come via a "royal source." We are, of course, skeptical but In Touch writes that the source previously "correctly revealed other royal secrets, including their honeymoon location and the queen’s wedding gift to Kate." So take that as you will.

So what are the juicy details? The "source" says that the royal couple, married only seven months ago, is already considering names for both a boy or a girl, although the pair has its fingers crossed for a daughter -- especially William.

"He's very much his mother's son, and he also knows that his father, Prince Charles, would like a granddaughter," the source told the magazine. As for Kate's wishes? "She's happiest when William is happy," although we know that she herself has expressed her desires for children.

The pair, who are set to move into a bigger Kensington Palace apartment soon, is reportedly setting up nurseries already -- one at their home in Wales, one in the Kensington Palace digs and one in Nottingham Cottage, where the Prince and the Duchess have been staying recently.

But regardless of where they are, the baby will always have a home at Great-Grandma's. The "royal source" reveals that Queen Elizabeth II has been jonesing for a great-grandchild since Catherine and William tied the knot, dropping hints all over the place.

(See? Even royal grandmothers are nudges!)

So, fact or fiction? Is this another false alarm like the last one or can the latest "royal source" be trusted? Stay tuned, read the In Touch Weekly story here and in the meantime, take a walk down memory lane with the Royal Wedding slideshow below.

UPDATE: As expected, no confirmation from official palace sources. Miguel Head, an official palace spokesman for Middleton, told the New York Daily News, "We never confirm or deny these rumors. This is about the millionth [pregnancy] report we've had. If it were true, you'd hear the announcement from us and not a gossip magazine in the U.S." What say you, In Touch?

CORRECTION: This article previously stated that the royal couple had already moved into their new, bigger Kensington Palace apartment. In fact the couple will not be moving until at least next year.

If it's true, then she got on with the main task of her job rather swiftly.

If I'd loved a man for 8 years, I'd be like "bring on the baby!" too.

Indeed it does. It always astonishes me what gets through, after such apparently careful consideration.

Oh for pete's sake leave the newlyweds alone! We'll all be thrilled when Diana's sons have children of their own but must we hound their every step??? IF she is pregnant, it will be a miracle they managed to pull that off with the constant observation. Geez....

If Murdoch's h.a.c.ke.rs have not revealed this yet to the gr8 British tabloids, then it is not very credible.

"Queen Elizabeth II is "jonesing" for a great grandchild since Catherine and William tied the knot,
dropping hints all over the place." I've never heard the word "jonesing" before and it isn't in the
Webster's Collegiate Dictionary. Does anyone know is perhaps this is a British expression?

Nope. Not a British expression.
08:06 AM on 11/18/2011
It's American.

"it rose from a use of Jones as slang for heroin"

"The slang sense "intense desire, addiction" probably arose from earlier use of Jones as a synonym for "heroin," presumably from the proper name, but the connection, if any, is obscure."

The law was recently changed to accommodate this, so yeah, you are in luck.
08:06 PM on 11/17/2011

12:23 PM on 11/17/2011

You haven't noticed we're already 'allowed' a 'girl queen'?

I know but it's not the same as her being related by blood... Kate can get out with a divorce. :)

It is highly improbable that Diana's soul would choose to reincarnate into the same family, especially after she left that family under such violent terms... too, on average it takes a good Saturn return (28-30 yrs) before a soul chooses to reincarnate... even so it is the norm and not the exception for a soul to move across ethnic/racial lines and change gender from lifetime to lifetime... Anyone born to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would already have had a parenting agreement with either parent or both parents, long before each was born...

I hope they don't name the child Diana if it's a girl. With William giving Kate her ring, saying it's his way of including his mom, and all of the other Diana references around these two, it would be creepy.

It won't be her first name, but you can bet Diana will be one of the four names they give her (if they have a daughter).

"...we know that she herself has expressed her desires for children." This statement is stupid. Her main duty is to provide a heir for the throne, isn't?

In her case, it can't be expressed as a 'desire' but as a mandatory duty. As archaic as it sounds that is her 'job'.

Just because she's expected to have children doesn't mean she's personally against it. Like most young newlyweds, she probably WANTS children. Why is that a problem for you?
