Magic Johnson Helps Marriage Proposal At Carrier Classic (VIDEO)

The Carrier Classic between Michigan State and North Carolina last week on the flight deck of USS Carl Vinson was quite the spectacle. President Barack Obama was in attendance sitting courtside with the First Lady as the No. 1 Tar Heels flexed their muscles. But off the court, it was a former Spartan who helped to create the night's most magical moment. Former Michigan State star Magic Johnson was on the aircraft carrier as well and helped one naval officer with his marriage proposal, even dropping down to one knee himself. After saying "yes," and after putting the engagement ring on, the newly engaged woman gave Magic a big hug.

I think it's great that Majic shared that moment with the couple. It's good to see NBA players former or current doing something for others besides themselves.
