Calif. Teacher With Porn Sites Gets Put On Leave

STOCKTON, Calif. -- A high school teacher is under investigation after school officials said she was maintaining a pornographic website from her school-issued laptop computer.

Lincoln High School teacher Heidi Kaeslin is on paid leave while the district investigates whether she violated its code of ethics, The Stockton Record reported.

The investigation also involves former Stockton police officer Richard Fields, who was assigned to the school as a resource officer. He told the newspaper he had acquired domain names including mysluttyteachers.com to develop them into websites.

Fields said Kaeslin's involvement was limited, and he eventually abandoned the venture.

The newspaper reports that one of the websites was active for only one day in February, which could indicate a test run.

Fields said the allegations are overblown. Kaeslin and her attorney declined to comment.

Kaeslin, a special education teacher and former girls soccer coach, has been with the district since 2002. Fields retired from the police department in May. The two are romantically linked, according to the paper.

Lincoln Unified School District has hired a computer expert to study the content on the laptop.

Chet Quaide, an attorney representing the district, said the school adopted an ethics code in 2003.

The code calls for teachers to "adhere to the highest ethical standards" and "to attain and maintain the highest possible degree of ethical conduct," he told the newspaper. "The code says that for breaches to constitute "unprofessional conduct," they must "involve jeopardy to student welfare; evidence malice, serious incompetency or bad judgment; or show a consistent pattern of misconduct."

She'll be fine, she's a government employee and a woman. She will not get fired. That's a pretty high bar. The closest is the bad judgement part, but they'll find a way to make her the victim. She'll probably get a raise.

I read these posts and cannot believe there are actually people arguing of this at all. And, I don't care if you live in Canada or not. This "teacher" cannot use COMMON sense and do this on her own computer or in any other way than using the schools? And it IS the schools to some of you idiots out there. You think when a "company" gives an employee a "Company car" it's their's?? Get a clue in life people. It's not. And, with ALL the people in this country, why would ANY school have to tolerate having some sex addicted type woman as it's teacher? Seriously, she has no sense to do this outside of ANY school function? Is that really to much of the school to ask her to not do?? You all wonder why kids are so screwed up anymore and the country is turning in to a world wide laughing stock, arguing over a teacher's "rights" to use a school issued computer to conduct her porn fetish on is a very good clue. I agree with you that she should never have maintained the site from a computer owned by the school. That pc should be treated as strictly work property, not for surfing the net in free time.

I totally disagree with you about her being a "sex addicted type woman." Who says she's addicted? You said she has a porn fetish... how can you prove that? Last time I checked, the porn industry is a multi-billion dollar per year industry. Chances are, this teacher and her honey were trying to create a site or sites to get in on that paycheck. There's nothing illegal about that.

Anything wrong with what she did? No. Doesn't make her a bad person by any means. She just should have kept it to her personal computer.

It would be easier to get irate about these reactions if people didn't use their work or employer's computers for these types of things. Invest in your own at home computer folks. At least do that. You may be in a job that still will not tolerate the behavior, but if you're used your work computer, you don't have a chance.

I would bet dollars to donuts that this idea was thought of (or DONE) many times in the past. There used to be a website around (haven't looked in a couple years) called "signmyboobs.com" She was a NY college student who would allow mssages of love or most any other subject (no porn) to be written on her bare chest (by her roommate) for which she got paid.
