Neil Cavuto Jokes To Don Imus: 'Your Show Is Awful' (VIDEO)

Don Imus

Fox Business News host and senior vice president Neil Cavuto had some blunt words for Don Imus Friday morning. Cavuto appeared on "Imus in the Morning," and jokingly reprimanded Imus for calling his viewers "bastards" earlier in the week.

Imus had jokingly criticized his viewers for inconsistently tuning into his television show (giving him a ratings record one day and a less-than-record-breaking figure another day), and blamed them for his ratings. Cavuto, who frequently dishes out the insults during his appearances on the show, had a ready riposte for Imus. "Your ratings are not [consistent] because people don't like you," he said.

Imus responded by calling Cavuto "fat" and telling him that he was going to "ignore" his comment.

"You're blaming them for the fact that you might suck," Cavuto said to Imus. "It's not their fault...It's not their problem that your show is awful...and inconsistent. It is not viewers fault that you can't consistently hit it out of the park."

"Want to go back to 'Money For Breakfast?'" Imus joked, referring to FBN's morning news show that preceded "Imus in the Morning."

"You know what — I would!" Cavuto said. "At least...I knew what I was getting." Cavuto then named every other FBN host that consistently performs well, and told Imus that he was "mad at him."

I'm a liberal and I love Imus. Hate that his show is on Fox, but oh well.

"Chris Wallace is a smuck! If his dad weren't Mike Wallace, he'd be stocking shelves at Best Buy!"

LMAO.

Imus should fill his Holiday time playing the Grinch that stole Christmas

Or better yet ..... Scrooge

His ' show ' is just a series of self indulgencies and belly farts

But he generously shares with us his escalating stages of advancing alzheimers

This entire rant was staged, as others tell me, everything that plays on FOX NEWS and FOX BUSINESS is. However, I will say, the point I think they are making in this act, accurately depicts what the programming and viewer realities are with FOX. FOX continues on because of the bipolar behaviors of their talking heads and viewers. Look at the way FOX viewers, who vote Republican, are assessing the Republican field for president. They are so inconsistant and wishy washy from one week to the next. They are treating their primary candidate selection process like a 10 minute rotating dating session. They don't know enough substance about anything, therefore they are all over the place all the time. If it wasn't so pathetic, it would be entertaining. I would rather watch a bunch of monkeys picking fleas off eachother in a cage at the zoo.

No thanks. I prefer to get facts from sources that require more responsibility and intelligence from me, than those that only require a click of a remote control. You don't really believe cable news programs are the most reliable source of information available to you today, do you? If you must watch cable news, do it for the occational entertainment opportunity they provide, because that is all you can really rely on being of any benefit to you.

I do not understand the fierce loyalty to a TV program, either Fox or MSNBC. Why do you think the world revolves around these shows?

Dear mimiyo:

If Perry starts picking through Romney's hair during the next debate, you will know that you are widely read.

Let me know how that goes, because I just can't stomach watching the Republican not debates. I did read somewhere that Romney and Perry have each had a turn at the shoulder touching thing.

Ms Kirkpatrick passed away on 12/06/06. But somehow, I don't think death will deter Mr. Imus

The mush mouthed saddle bag, who thinks every day is Halloween since he dresses like a Cowboy in NYC, is finally being called for his poor preparation, inarticulateness, and nasty personality. It is odd that Cavuto is saying Imus doesn't carry his weight on Fox Business, since more people watch a 3 a.m. showing of Problem Child 3 than the prime time numbers on Rupert's business clown car.

And this is why he is such a perfect fit for FOX BUSINESS. Imus is one of the many examples of why FOX is so irrelevant in the world of news.
