Aaron Rodgers: Only Abraham Lincoln And Jesus More Popular, Wisconsin Poll Says

Aaron Rodgers Wisconsin Poll

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers may be well on his way to becoming the most popular person in the history of Wisconsin. That is, if he can just beat Jesus Christ and Abraham Lincoln.

According to a recent opinion survey by Public Policy Polling, a whopping 89 percent of Wisconsin voters have a favorable view of Rodgers. with only Abraham Lincoln (91 percent) and Jesus (90 percent) surpassing him in favorability.

Among Wisconsin residents, Rodgers bested a group that includes famous Americans and global peacemakers like George Washington (86 percent), Mother Teresa (83), Martin Luther King, Jr. (74), Santa Claus (67), Gandhi (64), Nelson Mandela (64) and Steve Jobs (62), according to Yahoo Sports.

Those polled were also asked to rate their opinions of themselves. According to the poll results, one of the few people that a respondent was likely to few more favorably than Rodgers was his or herself.

Rodgers' initial numbers were gathered a few weeks ago, while the newest figures to be analyzed were polled separately. The newest poll was done in response to those initial numbers.

Jesus got himself nailed to a tree. Woopdee doo. Rodgers would have shredded the Romans' defense and scored a touchdown in the Holy of Holies.

Please help me understand this sentence from the article. I'm too heavily sedated:

"According to the poll results, one of the few people that a respondent was likely to few more favorably than Rodgers was his or herself."

I wonder, if the pole said Aaron Rodgers was more popular than Jesus, would people get overly offended and start burning Packers memorabilia?

As a Wisconsin resident of a decade or so, I am pleasantly surprised that our greatest president actually tops this particular poll--as pseudo-scientific as it probably really is.

Rigged poll. Has at least a couple of fictional characters. I mean Santa Claus (67), really?

You really prefer a fictional character who supposedly brings you an iPhone to the guy Steve Jobs (62) who made one?

You can have a team full of talent and lose every game without a great Quarterback.

This guy is a GREAT Quarterback.

That's exactly what we're seeing with the Colts this year.

"Rodgers' initial numbers were gathered a few weeks ago, while the newest figures to be analyzed were polled separately" This is just another Dumb A## HuffPost article, taking unrelated surveys and putting them together to generate some talk and/or discontent. To me, Rodgers' best attributes are that even after the Super Bowl win last year and all they media hype since, he is a team player and does not come off to the media like he's carrying the team on his own shoulders (sorry Brett).
I will admit that I've been an avid Packer fan for over 50 years. My two favorite teams are the Green Bay Packers (and whoever plays the Bears this week)!

If only 83% view Mother Teresa favorably, does that mean 17% considered her a scoundrel?

No it means that the 83% do not know Mother Teresa as well as the other 17%

Of course Aaron Rodgers is more popular than Mother Theresa. Did Mother Theresa ever throw for 200 yards against USC? Did Mother Theresa ever win a Super Bowl Ring? You gotta get your priorities straight, man.

Who's Aaron Rodgers? Please. A few years ago, it was Brett Favre. A number of years before that it was Bart Starr. These are just passing Favres...errr fads.

I'm tellin' you, man, this guy could be special. He had a bad game today, by his standards, but he's one of the best I've ever seen...and I'm pretty old.

Arron Rodgers is a certified stud!, or as my friend Chris would say.. "relentless passionate warrior". haha I would have his babies.. No doubt. Sign me up.

BTW, I am sure that the poll covered many woman who know a good thing when they see it. Dont get me wrong, I am Browns fan for life, but you don't get in the ABE LINCOLN list of pure sweetness that easily boys.

I'm just sayin'....

Well, I am glad you enjoyed it. I thought it was hilarious when I saw it. Nothing like putting Rothsberger in his place. I can't stand that guy...What better way to express how you feel by having a dog (Browns fan here) take a dump on the Bumble Bees logo... haha .

I like love your pic too.. Little boy at the beach... I love the beach. So cute.: )
