Wedding World Records: 5 Offbeat Wedding Records From Recordsetter

Planning to set a world record is a lot like planning a wedding -- both require dedication, hard work and a lot of support from family and friends.

Some have decided to combine both, setting world records inspired by their Big Days. RecordSetter World Records, a website that allows the public to attempt and set world records (its premise: everyone can be "world's best" at something), is tapping into that need.

We've compiled our favorite wedding records from the site, from the oldest ringbearer to the most unsuccessful marriage proposals in one minute (check out the world record book inspired by the site, out this month).

Bride Laura Tolley's bridal party consisted of 90 women and 13 men -- a total of 103 bridesmaids for her February 14, 2005 wedding in St. Louis, Missouri. Although all of the "bridesmaids" were wearing dresses, Tolley's submission to the Guinness World Records was ultimately denied -- since they weren't wearing matching dresses. She did, however, make the Recordsetter records.
