Well, there's a new girl in town and she's more than just a pretty face.

Sarah Silverman's comedy project has been picked up by NBC, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The pilot will imagine Silverman readjusting to single life, following the breakup of a very long relationship. The comedy series is loosely based on Silverman's own life.

The comic will co-write project with Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder, who also worked with her on Comedy Central series, "The Sarah Silverman Program."

Executive producers on the comedy include Ron Howard, Silverman, Sterling, Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo.

Micro-bio? We don't need no stinkin' micro-bio!

Gee... Great... All we need is more of this sophomoric twit spouting out ridiculously uneducated and moronic drivel on TV. Yet another show to avoid watching. Thanks for the warning!

I've seen some things that she's done that were interesting, but her bit at the Power of Comedy Awards was rambling, sad and embarrassing. After that I am truly surprised to hear she is getting her own show. I thought she was literally going to fall flat after figuratively doing the same.

Comedy is tough. I like her courage, the way she keeps moving forward. I always root for her success. There just seems to be something very endearing about her. Can't explain it.

I doubt it gets better rating than the midnight Threes Company re-runs on cable TV

Wallflower nurse: The man in that room has "swan" tattooed on his private part.
Hot nurse: I need to go in and check that out.

enters room...
leaves room...

Hot nurse: Honey, that isn't "swan", it's "Saskatchewan".

When I heard that joke 35 years ago it was an old nurse and a young one giving a guy a sponge bath...

I don't see her appeal and I don't think she's funny. However, I must say her and Kimmel were amazing together....

I liek Sarah, but I am consistently underwhelmed by the product she puts forward,

When is Laura Silverman going to get a show? (I think she would be amazing if only she were given the chance.)

Never really cared for her brand of comedy, but she's funnier than Chelsea Handler.

I bet it works for the masses.  I only knew Bob Saget from that asinine home video show and couldn't stand him.  It wasn't until "The Artistocrats" that I discovered what a riot he was.  If he can tone it down for ABC, so can Sarah for NBC.

The question remains, do I really want her to be "family friendly"?  It's a dead network for, crying out loud.

There's something magical about watching 10% of a theater audience storm out in feigned outrage. Hello? Did you ACTUALLY think it was Disney? :)

Will her show be about "nothing"?

She's funny in the way a toddler cursing is, I guess. Shock value, dirty words and all that cute spewing them.
