'Occupy Oakland' Hosts Gay Porn Video Shoot

An adult film company is capitalizing on the heat of the U.S. anti-establishment protests by using a tent in the middle of the "Occupy Oakland" encampment as the setting for a new gay porn flick.

Billed by The New York Observer as a "homoerotic caper through the tents of Oakland's Occupation," Dirty Boy Video's "Occupy My Throat" is likely to have been inspired by Brandon Watts, an original member of the Wall Street occupation who lost his virginity in Zuccotti Park before being arrested after a gruesome standoff with the police. Dirty Boy Video president Andy Fair reportedly contacted the 20-year-old Watts, whose experience was apparently noted in a New York Times magazine feature, and offered the protester cash for the chance to tape his next experience.

"I offer you the opportunity to perform on our website, an opportunity to express yourself and your politics freely and without censor. Working together we can create a sexy, fun platform that inspires you, be that with other actors, actresses or both. Whether you choose to work with us or not, I salute your dedication and your courage," Fair wrote in his letter to Watts, according to CBS San Francisco.

Watts does not appear in "Occupy My Throat," which was reportedly filmed in the middle of the Occupy Oakland encampment at Frank Ogawa Plaza. The film's tagline reportedly reads as follows: "Police can ban the erection of tents at Occupy Wall Street, but they can't keep us from pitching a tent in our pants!"

Though the overall, ahem, merits of "Occupy My Throat" remain to be seen, some bloggers are greeting the release enthusiastically. "Many might find this perverted and/or an unnecessary distraction from the important issues of the day," writes LeFag. "We feel like this video could be a nice historical document in years to come, should the movement prove more than a flash in the pan."

Thank you "Occupy-ers", you have CLEARLY won over the hearts & minds of America. You've convinced the world that being gay and promiscuous is not only morally acceptable, but should be endorsed, encouraged & flaunted. I don't want to see hetero's playing tonsil hockey in public either as that sends a bad message to our youth too.

Sexuality is PERSONAL and PRIVATE! Sadly, as an SF RESIDENT that's gay/bi, I see this too often. EVERYWHERE! I wouldn't let my teenager in this city. NOT because I am ashamed to be gay, but because I have morals, scruples and common decency.

I pose this to the occupiers and gay community... HOW DO YOU WANT TO BE RESPECTED AND REMEMBERED WHEN YOU ARE ACTING LIKE ANARCHISTS, RAPISTS AND ANIMALS?

This is a disgrace to Oakland, to gays, and to society in general.

Huffington Post is just as dishonest as any other media outlet. Occupy Oakland are not "hosts" of this gay porn filming. Occupy Oakland has abosultely nothing to do with the porno. It's an attempt by people outside any affiliation to make money. The headline 'Occupy Oakland Hosts Gay Porn Video Shoot' is nothing more than a cheap, sensationalist way of attracting readers and controversy. It also seems a bit demeaning.

Sorry guys and gals, but this is a negative.

Just add it alongside the death through drug overdoses, the rapes/sexual molestations, under-age sex and pimping of minors, the excrement, the vandalism and now a porn film filmed on site you will not be garnering much support from independents let alone the right. Time to stop the occupation and try to protect the message, time to mainstream it too before the initial idea is lost in the quagmire.

Ironically under this story is where ive had the most technical discussion of the OWS movement. I dont think the right or many on the left for that matter understands why/how this is/or can be actually different.

The Occupy Movement has nothing to do with the porno flick. It's being made on public property without anyone's approval except the director's. Of course there are many who seek any tangential way of discrediting students, nurses, housewives, working stiffs, layabouts, publicly elected officials, police, firemen, and 84 year old women pepper-sprayed in the face. If you're interested in truth try practicing it...and hey, don't call me names or assume what I belive simply because you don't like what I'm telling you.
