Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher Break Twitter Silence; Tweet Thanksgiving Messages

Demi Moore has finally broken her Twitter silence, nearly a week after the announcement that she and husband Ashton Kutcher would be divorcing.

The actress used a Thanksgiving Day message to make her return to the social media website, tweeting, "Why do we have only 1 day for giving thanks? Is that why so many people feel unappreciated? Make this 1 of 365 days of Thanksgiving!" Perhaps the 49-year-old was feeling thankful for her new-found freedom or maybe it is the support of friends and family at the start of this holiday season that has her feeling so vocal.

Moore announced that she and Kutcher would be ending their six year marriage on November 17th after months of speculation about Kutcher's alleged affairs. The most notable being a Las Vegas rendezvous with 24-year-old Sara Leal, during Kutcher and Moore's anniversary weekend in September.

Kutcher's first words on the split were 140+ characters saying, "I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK"

Though they seem to have made a few attempts to mend the broken marriage, most recently seeking marriage counseling post-announcement, they seem to be headed down the road of separation.

The pair have always been active Twitter participants. Moore's Twitter handle is @MrsKutcher, despite speculation post-announcement that she'd be searching for a new one -- @DemiMoore is still available -- it looks like she'll be keeping @MrsKutcher, for the time being at least.

Both were once a very vocal tweeters, but both haven't used 140 characters to communicate with the world since November 17th. Just as his soon to be ex-wife did, Kutcher took to Twitter Thursday to express his gratitude. "I'm thankful for family, friends, you, & time to reach my potential. What are you thankful for? #thanksgiving."

Sorry to hear of anybody's impending divorce. My experience is that you can't truly love someone until you love yourself. Its not cliche, Loving yourself is self dedication first so that its possible to love your mate and children. Many years of working on myself has given me that wisdom and knowledge. Blessings to both.

Something about Aston Kucher that I never liked. Wasnt he involved or knew something about a former girlfriend or friends passing? I think he used Demi to move up in Hollywood. I think she cared about him and he just used her.

Well...my heart feels sad for both of them, I was hoping for them to be a rare Hollywood couple that would love and respect each other in a lasting marriage forever...like Paul and Joanne Newman, but I guess they're just like the rest of Hollywood!!!

On top of all the usual marital pitfalls, they had the May-December thing to contend with. It was NEVER going to last "forever." Short-term outlook... and NOW she's 49 and single. But hey... she's rich and single... she'll do just fine. And HE'S rich and single and 33... I'll choose the latter. I don't care much for either of them as "talents," but at least he HAS BEEN occasionally funny. But honestly I wouldn't miss EITHER of them on the big OR little screen...

And that their mutual twitted output has been next to nil for some time as real reality smashed its way into their insular "reality" world?

I posted a couple days ago that these ttwits they twitted were from their respective management teams as neither wants to take the risk of saying anything that will create controversy anymore. Just as many other famous and notable people are now coming to figure out and are letting their respective management teams twitter for them. Someone posted back to me they knew it was them for sure and for reals.

Celebs are learning that just poppin' off in this method or any other seemingly innocuous way will wind up bad at some point or other so have a PR flak or flaks do it for them to keep things safe.

Whatever. Smart people aren't fooled. Fans/Followers, on the other hand, really and for reals, truly and for sure, believe their idols ttwit these little sanitized musings.
