Lily Allen, Sam Cooper Welcome Baby Girl

It's a girl for Lily Allen!

The British singer and her husband, Sam Cooper, welcomed a baby girl into their family Friday, the Daily Mail reports.

The singer has yet to officially confirm the happy news, and no name has been released yet, but she did send a short message to her fans.

"Totes Amaze," she wrote on Twitter.

Allen's ex-boyfriend and close friend Seb Chew also helped spread the happy news on Twitter, writing, "Sending out love to lily, sam and mini cooper...... YES."

The new addition to their family comes just months after Allen and Cooper tied the knot in the English countryside in June. The longtime couple announced to their friends and family at the wedding they were also expecting a baby -- happy news for newlyweds, who tragically lost a baby in late 2010 when Allen was six months pregnant.

Allen also lost a baby with The Chemical Brothers rocker Ed Simons in 2008 when she was four months pregnant.

Congratulations to the happy family!

Certainly a fine use of time is looking up mediocre singers who have yet to score big in the U.S. Unless Huffpo is really popular in the U.K. - which it is not based on my September trip over there. Nor is this woman for that matter, but it fills up space on the lead page.

I have seen the stories of the troubles she had with prior pregnancies. As a fellow woman and mother, I can't imagine how happy she and her family are today. Congratulations to her family. I hope mother and baby are well.
