The Office Maura Tierney

If you think Robert California is scary, wait until you meet his wife -- Mrs. California, played by actress Maura Tierney.

Making her triumphant return to TV comedy, Tierney is set to guest star on the Dec. 1 episode of NBC's "The Office" as Mrs. California, wife to James Spader's character, Robert California.

Robert will bring his wife to the office in the hopes of finding her a position at Dunder Mifflin. It looks like Andy is going to be put into one very tricky situation with this one. After all, we wouldn't want to say no to Robert -- or his wife.

Meanwhile, the new episode, titled "Mrs. California," will also feature Dwight opening a gym in the office building.

Watch the clip below -- from the episode "Doomsday" -- to see just how scary Robert can be.

Maureen, you would fit in there so well. I think Robert's character is too far out in left field. All of the others on the show are just as wierd as him but they do not know it. He knows it and uses it.

Oh nice.

The cast shakeups on this show have done a pretty darn good job of keeping things interesting. This appears to be another good choice for the direction of the show. Hopefully the writers give her some good material to work with. Curious to see if she ends up being as uppity as Spader's character.
