Buttliere first became interested in LEGOs when he was in first grade and selling popcorn for his Cub Scout troop. He earned enough points to win his first set, a Harry Potter-themed kit.

Buffalo Grove High School senior Rocco Buttliere displays his model of the Eiffel Tower. This was one of his most challenging models to build, as he couldn't design it on the computer. His model of Dubai's Burj Khalifa is on the left, with the U.S. Bank Tower in the middle.
