I bought meringue powder at Michaels last week. It's made by Wilton.

Why don't these recipes tell you how many they make?

It would depend on how big you make them.I found that most regular recipes make between 2 1/2 to 3 dozen cookies. It used to be that my son would eat the raw cookie batter so there would be about 3/4 of the recipe baked, he would eat the rest. I really need to get off this thing and get my baking done. Only baked 4 different types so far. Have a lot to go. Good luck on yours.

My gingerbread cookies always come out to mooshy or two rock hard. Does the pan of water on the lower shelf trick work in this case too?

If they are hard you are most likely working it to much. Mooshy, LOl never heard that one before. Maybe to much liquid. Try cutting back.

Spritz cookies are a tradition in our house. One year we made gingerbread men at my uncle's, and they got pretty, um, anatomically correct.
