Karlie Kloss Goes Nude For Vogue Italia's December Issue (NSFW PHOTOS)

Mark it down, people: 2011 was the year Karlie Kloss really grew up.

Seen as the favorite young modeling phenom of the past several years, Karlie turned 19 and graduated to riskier gigs in the past 12 months. She made a splash with a topless shoot (modeling hair styles, of all things) for Allure in September, then she got her Angel wings for the very first time in this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Now she's reached a new pinnacle: a high-fashion, nearly nude editorial in Vogue Italia shot by Steven Meisel.

The cover, bold as it is with its side-butt shot, only hints at the skin-baring shots inside. Kloss shows off her taut and, in our opinion, a bit too thin figure (how many crunches do you do a night, Karlie?!) in minishorts, dresses and sometimes nothing at all, proving her fearlessness in the face of the camera.

Her body is so impressive, in fact, that Vogue Italia leads its accompanying text with the words: "The (new) Body."

Bold move, Franca. Bold move. Are we declaring Miss Kloss the heir to the Macpherson title?

I prefer my models a bit more 'Victoria's Secret' style,athletic,long with boobs and bums,although they did use Karlie for this years show.Some people are just naturally skinny,can't see her getting Diabetes any time soon though.She is amazing,but so is the worlds shortest woman,not sure if it's a realistic figure to aim for.perhaps as an object of fascination,of bizarre beauty,but not an ideal.

I have this theory that only certain white people find a body like that attractive. (disclaimer: I'm a white dude and I find this girl revolting) I don't know a single black or latino guy in my circle of friends and acquaintances who would find that attractive or sexy.

I can't even imagine making love to something that looks like the second shot down. It would be like sleeping with a concentration camp survivor.

Was Franca Sozzani afraid she’d get called out for photoshopping, for favoring thin models or perhaps the simple explanation that it was just an awkward shot that magnified Karlie’s flat wide hips in a way that would be a bit hard for most to digest. Which goes to show fashion is getting more political than ever, after all shocking and impressing it seems only works as long as it doesn’t cross a certain bar. Go figure…
