'All-American Muslim' New Episode Highlights Birth And Call To Prayer (VIDEO)

Ever wondered how Muslims welcome children into the world?

The upcoming episode of TLC's reality show, All-American Muslim, highlights the Call to Prayer. Newlyweds Nader and Nawal welcome a new baby boy named Naseem. Father Nader immediately begins to whisper the Call to Prayer in his ear and says its akin to Baptism in Christianity.

The episode also features Coach Fouad Zaban's football team as they brace for their first game of the season. Because it is still the holy month of Ramadan, most of the team is fasting all day and cannot eat or drink until sunset, which will be after half-time. Some people think that fasting will make the team stronger, more focused and lead to victory. Others have their doubts.

Meanwhile, in an effort to gain her mother's approval for her new club, Nina prepares to dress conservatively and pay a rare visit to the mosque. She might be out of her comfort zone, but if she can keep her mom onside with her business plans, it will be worth it.

All-American Muslim airs Sundays at 10 p.m. Eastern time on TLC.

Now here is the sad truth: Not only does the America white man, but also many of our Muslim brothers and sisters in Muslim lands fear us coming into an independent vision. They will make us think that we are being racist when we support one of our own as our leader. They will make us feel as though we are un-Islamic in some way, because we say; Imam W. Deen Mohammed is our leader.

They are afraid that we will find the cause bigger than blind obedience, money, sex and being popular. A cause so big that it will give us the desire to compete with every nation on this earth.

That's in me, and I'm not alone.

No child is "born" any particular religion. That is a logical fallacy.

An article about "Too much tebowing?", making fun of a Christian and just next to it an article glorifying muslim football players who pray before every game. You people should wake up and realize what HP is trying to do here: put down Christianity and promote islam. If Tebow was a muslim, HP would say we should admire his faith. And I am saying this as a happy ex-muslim and agnostic who still gets death threats for leaving islam. Appeasing islam is a very slippery slope. Islam is a hateful, backward, racist, anti-semitic and homophobic ideology which has no place in the US.
And BTW: since when does HP run free adds for TLC? They must soooo desperately be trying to appease muslims. That's why no muslim takes you Christians seriously and makes fun behind their backs. They call you pigs and apes, for those who didn't know.

Pigs and Apes?

Where?

Were you born a muslim and converted later?

There is a verse in Qu'ran where certain Jews were turned into apes & pigs by Allah for some reason or other - but the point is that your fanatical pseudo-Muslim will generalize that to all Jews, and, in that context, it's amazingly widespread.

Since when can a football team "pray" before a game? Isn't that a no-no in the ACLU world of American public schools?

Does it say here that the team is being led in a prayer prior to the game?

It was mentioned in this show. Just wondered about it, since most schools are not allowed to do that.

Compulsory or faculty-led prayers are illegal. There is no law against individual students or groups from praying.

Get real, that program was designed to make immigrant muslims feel like 'honorary' white people. If it was honest it would be about African American muslims who made Islam VISIBLE in America and now we are being pushed aside by immigrants who seek to be accepted by whites. No negroes allowed, except as 2nd class citizens. Abu Bakr freed a slave. Immigrants ignore the slaves. SWH

I've seen no evidence of the first American Muslim culture on TV. I remember Malcolm X being played on TV and of course it was centered around the politics with a few segments about his haj to Mecca and basically nothing else. I'm a non-Muslim American and I find any information about cultures expands my mind. I agree that there is some kind of disconnect between the longstanding Muslim American community and television. It comes to mind that money is a factor. What I believe about America's pre immigrant Muslim community is that they are separated by lack of power and money, but I don't know if that's true.

Well said. Also don't forget to mention it was arab muslims who were the biggest slave traders. Mohammed called blacks 'raisin heads' which shows how racist he was. I am a black female ex-muslim whose parents immigrated from Africa and learned a lot about islam, probably more than most muslims. Which is why I left it. Also, Mohammed traded slaves and several times sold 2 black slave for one arab slave, because he thought arabs were superior. This shows what a racist he was. He was also an anti-semite who hated jews and killed hundreds of them. And this waaaay before Israel even existed, demonstrating that anti-semitism has got nothing to do with israel; it's part of islam.

So, if she goes to the mosque and acts more conservative, her Mom will let her open a club--Does this make any sense to anyone. It woulbe like a Southern Baptist family son opening a bar with their money!

Also, the young lady in "All Amer.." should do us all a favor and cover her face.

I am waiting for a teenage girl to ask her Baptist mother if she (the girl) can wear a hajib. They really make one focus on their beautiful eyes.
