Don't want to eat disgusting food for days and weeks on end? It might be time to look at college dining halls more closely.

The Princeton Review recently named the 10 schools with the worst dining halls. Virginia's Hampton University topped the list with New College of Florida coming in second.

Check out our slide show of the colleges with the grossest food. Then tell us, does your college have awful food? Weigh in below!

No surprise regarding Fordham University as Student Services is overseen by Jeff Grey, a Admin VP at the school. The cafeteria operations miserably failed NYC inspections last year on his watch. He is also responsible for intercollegiate sports at Fordham, and they have had one of the most inept AD's in history running a thoroughly horrible D1 sports program.

Hello i am a student at Flagler College and i would like to say that i have been to many of schools to visit. Flagler by no means should be on this list. We have it all the quality is great and the food is awesome. They make the best fried chicken and Dumplings in the world. The Mongolian station is the best made just the way you ask for it. If you want great food go to FLAGLER COLLEGE

It possible that they have to serve that food because of the law suits. and the "healthy groups" that say hey no sugar, no pizza, no nuts not anything someone may be alergic too. and you are going to have a 100 students at one time so make sure it is done hours before to handle the rush .

I wonder why there is still a Merchant Marine Academy when the US merchant fleet is non existent.

These ratings are done by student surveys, so not really all that accurate. I attend Wesleyan College and our dining hall is under new management who are doing a fabulous job. I mean, what more do people want?! We aren't a state school. We don't have fast food restaurants in our dining hall like larger universities. But our food is great, LOTS of options every day. I completely disagree with our ranking on this post.

I suspect that the Review, which is a highly reputable source did the survey before the new management of food services began at your school. It takes quite a while for scientific studies to be researched, compiled, reviewed and published. I'm sure you checked the photos, but there are also a lot of colleges with the title "Wesleyan" (although each one claims to be the "real" Wesleyan College!)- and depending on their location, the food could be wildly divergent. Illinois Wesleyan vs. Indiana Wesleyan have very different programs, and I suspect very different management. I would want to defend my college too, but I suspect that this evaluation was accurate at the time it was researched.

A restaurant that serves garbage goes under in short order because customers won't put up with it. So why is the food at hospitals and higher education facilities so bad? Maybe the Occupy crowd can solve this problem too.

Im not surprised at Alfred"s Ranking, I realized it was crap three weeks in. Our dining services are the pits, and they arent doing anything about it.

I'm surprised and outraged that Bard College isn't on this list. It is the only educational institution whose cafeteria food ever made me sick.

Probably the unhealthiest food in America is served in hospitals. Good reason to avoid them at all costs :-)

The Merchant Marine Academy is on all of these lists. Looks like a great place to save federal money, SHUT IT DOWN!
By the waybthe food is free.

Would like some comments why these colleges have the worst food. Surely there must be a survey with this info.

I'm not surprised Wesleyan College is #6. The food was TERRIBLE. The education? Exemplary. The friends? Still around.

Where do these lists come from? I'm waiting for the Top 10 Worst Roommates list any day now...

1) Kevin Thomas, San Diego State: Once stole $20 from his roommate's wallet and later stole his roommate's girlfriend.

2) Sandy Olsen, University of New Hampshire: Borrowed roommate's favorite sweater, got salsa on it, and then just folded it back up on the shelf like nothing ever happened.

3) Eddie Burns, Oklahoma: Downloaded a bunch of porn on roommate's laptop. Only it was his roommate's 16-year-old sister's laptop that he was just borrowing.

4) Sarah Coleman, Florida: Always had her boyfriend spend the night. And she was very loud when they would, you know...

5) Joe Pennington, Cal-State Northridge: Never. Pitched. In. For. Beer. Ever.

6) Kelly Carter, Boston College: Sleepwalked and knocked over roommate's alarm clock. Okay, probably not her fault, but still...

7) Danny Walsh, LSU: Showered maybe five times first semester.

8) Traci Barnes, Michigan: Hardly ever bought groceries, but ate everyone else's food -- even the stuff that was labeled, and even though she totally knew the rule about the labels.

9) Matt "Horndog" Horn, Arizona State: Totally ignored the "sock over the door" signal and walked in on roommate and girlfriend repeatedly, always asking, "Got room for one more?" or something equally stupid.

10) Erin Meade, Dartmouth: Totally freaked out the first time she got high and got, like, half the floor busted for drugs in one night. Un-freaking-believable.

Hey, you leave Joe Pennington alone! The guy owes me 50 bucks and after this list, I may never see it.
12:03 PM on 12/05/2011
Sorry, bro. But good luck getting that $50 back from "Penner." He'll claim he paid you back already. He did the same thing with me.
