Occupy Wall Street: Third Eye Blind, Dawes and Jackson Browne Perform In Zuccotti Park (VIDEO)

Jackson Browne Occupy Wall Street

Third Eye Blind, Dawes and Jackson Browne stopped by Zuccotti Park Thursday and played songs in support of Occupy Wall Street. It was the first time the park's seen such performances since police raided the encampment and evicted protesters on November 14.

90s alt-rock band Third Eye Blind (who released a new Occupy-inspired tune recently) played two songs, one of which was "Jumper" before Jackson Browne and Dawes's Taylor Goldsmith took the "stage" and took turns performing.

With the wind and construction noise at Ground Zero, the 300 or so onlookers struggled to hear Browne's introduction to the acoustic set (there are no PA's allowed in Zuccotti) before someone suggested he use the people's microphone.

"My songs are usually pretty quiet," he said, and the crowd repeated, before launching into "Casino Nation."

Rolling Stone caught up with Browne and Goldsmith after the show:

Previously, Jeff Magnum of Neutral Milk Hotel, Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello, Talib Kweli, Crosby, Stills and Nash, and Arlo Guthrie have all played for protesters in Zuccotti. Check out some of the performances below.

Jackson Browne performed beautifully today In Washington D.C. at the Freedom Plaza Occupy D.C. site. He was so in tune with the occupiers, and the audience loved him back. There was a big media presence, so I hope this gives the Occupy D.C. movement a boost and good media coverage.

Who cares what the UN says or thinks. Ban-Moon you are great at gathering reports and issuing Condemnations.

Beyond that you are useless, Regarding the protesters we all have the right to peaceful assembly. You do not have a right to build a Hobo camp in front of a City Hall, or a public park. To lie down in streets or public walkways in the middle of a campus.

You have to respect the authority of law enforcement. When you are ordered to disband, then be respectful and disband.

If you refuse to disband then the police will and rightfully so use force. If you are fighting back or refusing still to disband they will use as much force as needed to do there Job.

Many of the protesters are drunks, or Drug users who choose that lifestyle, others seem unemployable. Others are just rebels who take up any cause or protest. Malcontents who blame government for all of what they are lacking.

To the protesters some of us work very hard to earn are way, we have no time to be protesting or living in a hobo camp in front of city hall. Our employers hold us to high expectations.

If you want a slice of American pie then work hard, also get an education or learn a trade that will provide you with a livable wage.

We saw the collapse of comminsum in Russia, and the oppression of Castros treatment of Cubas citizens.

And he is camping out with them until they turn all of WS around.

He is camping there 24/7, isn't he? Busy...well this will be going on for a while all over the world so he can stay at any camp while on the road and sleep there at night instead of his hotel room.

If you connect with Jackson Browne on Wall Street (and I do! I do!) you'll also connect with Makana who sang for (and was ignored by) President Obama in Hawaii at the APEC Conference, a week or two ago.

Have a listen-- it speaks, so well, for the 99%ers:
