Herman Cain Suspending 2012 Campaign For President (VIDEO)

Herman Cain announced on Saturday that he is suspending his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination.

The news comes in the wake of Cain being accused of having an extramarital affair and sexual harassment charges from more than a decade ago resurfacing. The former CEO of Godfather's Pizza has vehemently denied any wrongdoing amid the controversy.

On Saturday, Cain called the allegations "false" and said that they have had a "tremendous" and "painful price" on his family. "That spin hurts," he explained.

His wife, Gloria Cain, stood behind him on stage as he spoke in their home state of Georgia.

"I am at peace with my God, I am at peace with my wife and she is at peace with me," he said.

Looking to the future, Cain told his supporters that he is now turning to "Plan B," a new effort and website (TheCainSolutions.com) working "to be a voice for the people."

He said, "I am not going to be silenced and I am not going away."

As the GOP presidential primary race goes on, Cain signaled he could be expected to endorse a candidate in the contest "in the near future."

At the beginning of his campaign, Cain was considered a longshot contender for his party's nomination. After finding success in appealing to conservatives on the trail, he surged in the polls and scored an upset win in the Florida straw poll in September.

Cain's standing in the race took a hit as sexual harassment accusations from when he was serving as head of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s seeped into the spotlight. After an Atlanta businesswoman came forward with allegations that she and Cain engaged in a 13-year extramarital relationship last week, speculation began to swirl around the possibility that he could drop out of the race.

Cain told CBS News' Jan Crawford that he determined on his own to suspend his campaign and has "no regrets" about the decision.

Part 2: If these 65-67% were maxed out on credit cards, as was the US overwhelmed with debt and Obama went and borrowed an outrageous amount from China, they believed they could borrow more "by osmosis" to eliminate their debt and they voted for him. That was until the foreclosure storm stampeded into the US, spotlighting greedy of bank executives, who, with knowledge and malice aforethought, took advantage of the state of mind of these lower intellect and lower wage people. They knew the people could not manage mortgages for long. Obama went to school. He knew VERY well that "-2" + "-2" equals "-4", NOT "+4". You do NOT get out of debt by borrowing more. If you do, all your assets become the property of the lender. Obama just did not care about the result of borrowing money from China because he acted under the auspices and commands of those who held the purse strings to his campaign money (and this is another story with very scary under-currents, completely separate from the China loan mess). Now China "owns" us...their economy is going down the drain and what do you think they are doing and will do to recover? We need an apolitical, well educated (from home and school) and business savvy person as President.

Part 1 -- Too bad. However, he could compete with the enormous cash supply crooked politicians have. I would say whatever happened re mistresses is between him, his wife and family. Hah! How many mistresses did JFK had? Also he revealed his plan a bit late. Cain should have started press releases & articles in the media (about himself, how he would fix the economy, deal with war, foreign affairs, healthcare, taxes, etc. since 3 or 4 years ago. Now, he just does not have enough time to let people in the US know him, the man, his brain and his vision. He needs a way to let the 65-67% of US Citizens who barely or never finished high school know how his plan will benefit them. He must take into account that a LOT of these people have below an average IQ and that unfortunately, they vote without being informed. They can be easily bamboozled by politicians, especially lawyer politicians who are trained to convince people. These people were especially vulnerable to Obama. That is how he got their vote. Obama never held a job, never owned a business or had home education. Neither he nor his wife exercised simple, well known courteous behavior to Heads of State and/or royalty in other countries...but he was trained as a lawyer.

I am not a fan of Herman Cain. I believe, however, that the same scrutiny and the same yardstick should be applied to Newt Gingrich, whose extra-marital affairs are well-documented, with three wives in tow. All of whom came about, shortly before the wife in place was removed. Let us be fair when evaluating the party which hypocritically preaches family values, suffers from homophobia, fears immigrants, and reserves judgment only for others.

I listened to this man's speech and wondered what planet was he on. He will not take responsiblity for anything that goes on in his life. He just does the blame game, either it is the media, the liberals, the president or some unknown face that is the cause for him to have to face the music with his wife over his hobby.

Mrs. Cain put on a pretty good appearence but she really didn't look that happy with her husband at all. She may be counting on the good settlements when she file for divorce of course she will wait a while before filing just to make her hubby look good and her pocketbook bigger. There will be more about Herman and his many women to come out this did not stop it because a woman do not like to be called a liar in public when they know they speak the truth. Herman just might be the one paying these women to keep quiet, who knows.
