Surveillance footage captured a car crashing into Brooklyn grocery store Saturday afternoon.
Police believe the driver of the BMW SUV hit the gas instead of the brakes, sending the car through the wall of the Gem Meat Supermarket on Nostrand Avenue. Watch below as items and shelves fly across the room.
One person inside the store was taken to Kings County Hospital in unknown condition.
One witness told The New York Post people swarmed the damaged store "to swipe meat, canned goods, milk and other foods," he said, adding, "People were screaming and yelling . . . you actually had people coming to rob the store."
