LOS ANGELES -- A judge has finalized an uncontested divorce between Michael C. Hall and his "Dexter" co-star Jennifer Carpenter. Court records show Superior Court Judge John Sandoz finalized the divorce on Friday in Los Angeles.

Carpenter filed for divorce nearly a year ago, citing irreconcilable differences. Hall and Carpenter married in December 2008.

Court filings state the details of the division of property will remain confidential.

Hall plays Dexter Morgan, a serial killer who targets other murderers on the hit Showtime series, which is now in its sixth season.

Carpenter plays Hall's sister, a Miami police detective who is often on the trail of her brother's victims, but does not know he is a killer.

I read they divorce due to one wanting children; and the other did not.

One would think, this topic should have been discussed before marrying.

Michael, I do not want children so come stalking my way. Ok?

Love Dexter and the entire cast!!!!

"One would think, this topic should have been discussed before marrying."

True - but I'd read that the difference came about after MCH's recovery from cancer; he allegedly didn't want a child after that - perhaps afraid he'd pass along the cancer gene to his offspring. His father died of cancer when he was about 11.

Ok, so if I was wealthy, attractive, interesting, good looking, and younger I would totally go after her.

If you lived in LA, you'd probably go after him.

I didn't like her for him anyway. I bet they thought it was super cute to be in love, married and working together --- now wonder if there will be any awkward tension on set... and I could just imagine their co-stars and crew... they must feel especially awkward around these two.

Agreed. The season has been pretty good this year, so they must be handling it.

I didn't like them together either but she has said in interviews that they are and will always be best friends. When I watch the show I'm always struck by how odd looking she is. Her nose is actually distracting. BTW, did you hear that she's "dating" Jonny Lee Miller now?

I see nothing unusual about her nose.

I agree, she is a bit odd looking at times. She can be very pretty in some scenes and quite odd looking in others. Weird. I saw her in "The Good Wife" this week and she looked very pretty in every scene there. She was playing an evangelical christian and was quite demure throughout. That was a drastically different character for her to play!
