STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Ex-Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky was arrested and arraigned Wednesday on new sex abuse charges brought by two new accusers, the state attorney general's office said.

The charges were brought after new accusers were questioned by a grand jury following Sandusky's arrest last month. One alleged victim claims he was assaulted after meeting Sandusky in 1997 and the other claims he was assaulted in 2004.

A call seeking comment from Sandusky's lawyer, Joseph Amendola, was not immediately returned.

Sandusky was already charged with 40 counts of child sex abuse involving eight young boys over a 15-year span. He has denied being a pedophile and has vowed to fight the case. In interviews with NBC and The New York Times, he has said he showered and horsed around with boys but never sexually abused them.

The new charges include four counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and two counts of unlawful contact with a minor, all of them first-degree felonies punishable by up to 20 years in prison and $25,000 in fines.

Sandusky also was charged with a count of indecent assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of children. Those are third-degree felonies punishable by up to seven years in prison and $15,000 in fines.

Like some of the other victims, the two new ones, dubbed Victims 9 and 10 by prosecutors, allegedly met Sandusky through The Second Mile charity, which he founded in 1977.

"As in many of the other cases identified to date, the contact with Sandusky allegedly fit a pattern of `grooming' victims," Attorney General Linda Kelly said in a statement. "Beginning with outings to football games and gifts; they later included physical contact that escalated to sexual assaults."

A call seeking comment from Sandusky's lawyer, Joseph Amendola, was not immediately returned. Sandusky has denied being a pedophile and has vowed to fight the case. In interviews with NBC and The New York Times, he has said he showered and horsed around with boys but never sexually abused them.

One of the new alleged victims, dubbed Victim 9 by prosecutors, claims he was first assaulted in 2004, and the other, called Victim 10, told the grand jury he was assaulted after being referred to Second Mile in 1997.

The ninth accuser, currently 18, was 11 or 12 when he first met Sandusky in 2004. Sandusky took him to Penn State football games and gave him gifts and money, and later sexually assaulted him during overnight stays in a basement bedroom in Sandusky's home, the grand jury said.

The accuser said that Sandusky forced the boy to perform oral sex and attempted on at least 16 occasions to anally penetrate him, sometimes successfully. "The victim testified that on at least one occasion he screamed for help, knowing that Sandusky's wife was upstairs, but no one ever came to help him," the grand jury report said.

The 10th accuser told the grand jury he was referred to The Second Mile in 1997, when he was 10 and experiencing problems at home. He also attended Penn State games, spent time at Sandusky's house, and was subjected to "wrestling sessions" in the basement of the home that led to Sandusky performing oral sex on the boy, authorities said. The accuser also detailed incidents at a pool on the Penn State campus, and a time when Sandusky allegedly exposed himself in a car and requested oral sex from the boy.

He was arrested by state police and agents of the Attorney General's Office, and had a preliminary arraignment before Senior Magisterial District Judge Robert E. Scott of Westmoreland County. A preliminary hearing on the charges is set for Tuesday, the same day his previous case is set for a hearing.

Sandusky had been charged with 40 counts of child sex abuse involving eight young boys over a 15-year span.

KEY PLAYERS IN PENN STATE SCANDAL
Loading Slideshow...
  • Jerry Sandusky

Following a three-year investigation, the former Penn State player and assistant coach was <a href="http://www.collegian.psu.edu/archive/2011/11/07/grand_jury_presentment_story.aspx" target="_hplink">indicted</a> on Nov. 4 on 40 counts of sexual crimes against male minors that occurred over the span of more than a decade -- the first alleged recorded incident of abuse <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2011/11/07/justice/pennsylvania-coach-abuse-timeline/?hpt=ju_c2" target="_hplink">dates back to 1994,</a> and Sandusky was first investigated in 1998.. The allegations have rocked Penn State's storied athletic program to its core, raising questions of who in the program knew what -- and how much -- when.

  • Mike McQueary

<a href="http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/colleges/penn_state/133338298.html" target="_hplink">McQueary</a> was a graduate assistant at Penn State when he allegedly witnessed coach Jerry Sandusky sodomizing a 10-year-old boy in a locker room shower. Shocked by what he saw, he reported it to head coach Joe Paterno, who then told Athletic Director Tim Curley and senior vice president Gary Schultz. Ten days after McQueary saw the incident, Curley and Schutlz told him that they were not going to report it to police.

  • Joe Paterno

The famed Nittany Lions coach was allegedly informed of Sandusky's actions in 2002, after which he reported them to Athletic Director Tim Curley. He claims that he did not know the full extent of Sandusky's actions. In a statement, Paterno said that "the fact that someone we thought we knew might have harmed young people to this extent is deeply troubling." Joe Paterno <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/22/joe-paterno-dead-ex-penn-state-football-coach-obit_n_1221946.html" target="_hplink">passed away from lung cancer </a>on Jan. 22, 2012.

  • Gary Schultz

The Daily Collegian reports that Penn State senior vice president for finance and business <a href="http://www.collegian.psu.edu/" target="_hplink">Gary Schultz</a> was known for his family values. However, Schultz allegedly lied to authorities about what he knew in regards to Sandusky's actions, and may have been aware of them for years. He has since resigned from his job. A judge ruled in December that<a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/16/tim-curley-gary-schultz-hearing-trial-penn-state_n_1154360.html" target="_hplink"> Schultz and Curley will be tried</a> on charges of lying to a grand jury.

  • Tim Curley

Penn State's athletic director was informed of Sandusky's misdeeds as early as 2002, but maintains that he was not aware of their explicit nature. He has been charged with failure to report and has been put on administrative leave. He claims he is innocent. A judge ruled in December that<a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/16/tim-curley-gary-schultz-hearing-trial-penn-state_n_1154360.html" target="_hplink">Gary Schultz and Curley will be tried</a> on charges of lying to a grand jury.

  • Graham Spanier

Penn State President Spanier, left, recently wrote to the Penn State Daily Collegian that he believed he had the best job in American education. Now, students and alumni are <a href="http://www.collegian.psu.edu/archive/2011/11/07/Petition_to_fire_president_spanier.aspx" target="_hplink">calling for him to be fired</a> in the wake of horrific sexual abuse accusations against former coach Jerry Sandusky.

  • The Second Mile

Sandusky's <a href="http://www.thesecondmile.org/" target="_hplink">charity,</a> founded in 1977, allowed him unfettered access to young boys under the guise of selflessness.

Because neither police or priests were capable of it, an independent Dutch organization had to be formed to investigate systematic homosexual rape of boys by priests of the synagogue of satan euphemistically known as the Catholic Church. It found that TWELVE THOUSAND BOYS in Holland alone had been RAPED by men priests who were SUPPOSED to be protecting them. I personally cannot fathom what it is about priests that they would, just like Jerry Sandusky, find boys to be "sexually attractive" in the first place, but to SYSTEMATICALLY RAPE 12,000 of them, cover it for half a century, and then GET AWAY WITH IT is such a violation of my free exercise of religion that it makes me wonder if God is even watching. I thank God that I'm not one of these 12 THOUSAND boys, and cannot even conceive of what it would be like to have been in their shoes.

Now is the time to get religion. It's up to US, not God, to FIX this church, once and for all. How do we do it? 2 Kings 23:7-11 tell us exactly how do do it. WE TOSS OUT THE SODOMITES AND POUND THEIR TEMPLES TO DUST:

"And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove.

And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah,

"Sandusky is NOT a homosexual, he is a pedophille. There has been nothing that shows his adult sexual relations were with men. So if people want to continue to believe that then they will live in a well of ignorance and I for one will not support that continued stance. "

I really don't think you can find three people on the planet who CARE what you think is the difference without a distinction here. Nobody is arguing that pedophile men who molest girls, NOR pedophile women who molest BOYS, should NOT be punished. This is the wrong forum, and the wrong time, for you to promote homosexuality of ANY form, which is all I see here.

I don't get a picture of Sandusky as the defensive coach for Penn State. In interviews, he seems so slow and child-like; it just doesn't seem to add up. While the charges against Sandusky are horrifying, somehow I have a hunch there is a whole lot more to this story than what we know.

He's a defense football coach. He's not working with the sharpest of tools.

I'm setting my watch by the new Sandusky charges. Every time two new accusers (victims, AKA victims) come forward, I know 24 hours have gone by.

Just do it, Jerry, quit thinking about it and just do it. For once in your miserable life do the right thing and do it. You know it's pervading your every waking thought as the accusations pile up outside your house of smoke and mirrors. Like a summer breeze you can't escape, the thought continues to appear no matter how much you try to shut it out, it beckons to you as your only real escape, listen to it. Everything will come out and you will be broken and everything will be taken away. Go ahead, do it. Goodbye Jerry.

Question: Has Mrs. Sandusky been questioned by the police????

How could his wife just sit upstairs and ignore the cries for help from a kid her husband was raping downstairs?

My mother knew what was happening to me but she was so scared of loosing her man, she instead accused me - her then 11 year old daughter - of having an affair with her husband and that I was forcing myself upon him.  She then said years later because I told no one it was my fault it continued to happen.  My point being - those that know, and there are many, will concoct any scenario in their head to create denial.

If only the authorities would start arresting clergy with the same fervor, we would make some real progress on ending this time-honored tradition among old-boy networks of all ilks. Ever had a minister offer you a "massage" before inviting you to your knees, in prayer of course? Athletic and religious institutions have long been havens for homos who would rather rape boys than come out of the cloister. This gay goofball is like the Bernie Madoff of the sports world, just the tip of the iceberg of a culture of corruption and coverups where dirty old men look the other way while their friends "horseplay" with prepubescent boys. These are the same men who stigmatize out gay men and create a culture of fear that keeps the closet door closed for the next generation. If only a few gay professional athletes and preachers would find the courage to come out and call out their fellow coaches and clergy, this dirty secret could be brought into the light of day. But that would take real courage off the field and away from the protection of the pulpit.

Pedophillia has nothing to do with homosexulatiy - homosexuals like adults of the same gender, pedophiles' "prefer" children and pre-pubescents.

Don;t use this as an excuse to promote further homophobia.

What you don't seem to realize, or refuse to recognize, is that the reason for such public outrage against Sandusky (31.5 million hits on Google) is because he's a homosexual, not because he's a pedophile. Never has there any been such public outrage about heterosexual pedophiles:

• 85% of Mississippi voters amend state constitution in 2001
• 76% of Texas voters pass Proposition 2
• 71.6% of Kentucky voters amend state constitution
• 70% of Nebraska voters amend state constitution with Initiative 416
• 69.4% of Nevada voters amend state constitution
• 68% of Alaska’s voters amend state constitution
• 66% of Hawaii legislators amend state constitution, 69% of voters endorsed that amendment
• 57% of Oregon voters reject the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and amend their state constitution
• 53.4% of Colorado Voters amend state constitution on November 3, 1993
• Oklahoman voters made it a crime for a public official to issue gay marriage licenses
• FEDERAL DOMA law passed on September 21, 1996 ends gay marriage
• “Voters in Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon and Utah all approved anti-same-sex marriage amendments by double-digit margins”, per CNN
• “Focus On the Family” reported that 35 states had already passed DOMA laws prior to California voters passing Proposition 8 in a landslide victory, making that 36 states
• Voters in Maine and Washington reject their legislator’s initiatives to recognize gay marriage

There's a global network of these child molesters who have been protected by the powerful elite. Sandusky wasn't performing these sordid acts in isolation. For a revealing look at how this ring has been protected, just Google: "The Finders", "The Franklin Scandal", "Jeff Gannon", or "Pat Sullivan".

No bail. No more weasling. No more nothing for this vile degenerate. Put him away. Keep him away... from any further potential victims. Get real, folks. Stop giving him passes to commit further crimes against children. Let's hope the buck finally stops getting passed and thus crumb and all his protectors GO DOWN!
