Fol Chen Uses Tetrafol On 'So Good' (AUDIO)

Los Angeles electronic outfit Fol Chen has returned with another song made using their handmade electronic sound toy, the Tetrafol, giving Bjork's similarly named instrument a run for its money in this handmade-instrument department that's suddenly a thing.

The Tetrafol works like this:

Circuits enclosed by a wooden tetrahedron detect orientation and motion-gestures to modify the playback of a collection of Fol Chen’s micro-compositions, allowing the user to explore sound through physical manipulation.
