Nate Berkus

Nate Berkus' show has been canceled.

Broadcasting & Cable's Paige Albiniak tweeted the announcement on Friday. The show, which is a joint venture between Sony and Oprah's production company Harpo, is currently in its second season. It was announced that the show will finish out the current season but will not return for a third.

Berkus, who was a regular on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," started his show in 2010. B&C wrote that the show "never got off the ground, ratings-wise," which lead to "constant speculation about its future."

I absolutely LOVED the Nate Berkus Show. In fact, during daytime TV, it was the only "must see" since Oprah left NBC. I could have done without the clothing style sections, however, since most of the advice given by them was inaccurate in my opinion ( No, not every woman can wear certain colors, heavy women, including myself, shouldn't wear pencil skirts, and some arms really should be covered up), and some of the makeovers were horrendous. If he'd kept to interior design in all of its facets, I bet that he would still be on.

The Nate Burkus Show is "the best". A great wholesome, educational, entertaining show. I like the variety Nate offered on his show....Inspirational tips and projects the whole family could enjoy. I have learned so much from Nate. How to make "something from nothing". We need to keep shows like this alive.....There is some much violence and discusting shows that stay alive and continue to be scheduled. Nate showed those of us who are on a"showstring budget" how to decorate our homes and be house proud. Nate we'll look for you on OWN. Love 'ya.

Finally Nate's show has been cancelled. It was boring from the first day. He is a great designer and can do wonderful single TV segments, but his monotone voice puts you to sleep if you try and watch for an entire hour. Learn from HGTV. HALF HOUR ONLY.

Nate needs to be a reoccurring host or guest on a show -- he doesn't have the appeal to hold an antire show. May be he can get a segment on the chew or the revolution

Sorry to find Nate's show was cancelled. Finally found out why in reading some of the posted comments. Agree 1st season best and agree he does not need the "usual talk show guest" to make his show interesting and inviting. I have had it with the fake reality shows and staged personal interviews. Surely Mr. Berkus' great ideas and suggestions can find a spot in TV land.

Please, please, please don't cancel Nate. You all need to ask the people who watch the show and I look forward to looking at ht every day. It is a joy to watch everyday people being able to do things for themselves that they may not otherwise be able to do. People don't have a lot of money these days and Nate shows us how to live better on less which is great. Put him on the OWN channel and we will all follow him there. Okay Oprah as your fans, we followed you 25 years and we know what we like and we LOVE Nate Berkus OKAY!!!

I am so disappointed this show is being cancelled. Lots of good tips on a variety of topics. But the best part of the show is Nate himself with that great smile and adorable personality.

I am SO upset the show has been cancelled!!!!! I LOVED it and looked forward to watching it everyday! It had so many great ideas. I missed the news that it had been cancelled and over Christmas my aunt told me-----wow how disappointed I was.
I guess we need a new show like The Chew----really, it is not good!!! Nate was not on one of our main channels where I live and a lot of people did not know about it. I had hoped it would be given another chance. Nate you are great and created a wonderful show---you will be missed a lot!!!!! Please take a vacation and start back on the OWN network.

As for Nate Berkus, I'm so sorry that your show is cancelled and I enjoyed most of your episodes while it lasted. I really hope that your show gets a second life on OWN or any other cable channel. Maybe it's a possibility that you might start a new show in prime time television since prime time television scores bigger viewership numbers than syndication. If Nate does move his show on OWN or any other cable network or start a new show in prime time television, hopefully he hires new producers that understand him of where he is coming from, let Nate have creative control on his own show instead of people telling him what should be on his show, have his show being more focused on interior design and decorating, and get rid of the segments that are not related to interior design like fashion, cooking, celebrities, etc. If Nate revamps his show that is more focused on interior design and decorating, then more viewers will watch him and his show would survive. We have to rely on Oprah to save Nate's future. Daytime TV is really going to be awful without "The Nate Berkus Show." I'm really going to miss "The Nate Berkus Show" once it's off the air in May, but I have to move on with my life that I do not have the time to watch daytime television. I still wish Nate the best of luck on his future endeavors.

I love his show, but in my personal opinion, I think his first season is better than his second season because he'd focused more into interior design and decorating and less on cooking, fashion, celebrities, and other things in his first season. As for his second season, he'd focused less on interior design and decorating that fashion, cooking, celebrities and other things that are outside of the interior design world took over his show which led his ratings go down the tank and now at cancellation's door. If Nate had stick with what he knows before airing his second season, his show would have survived. If they are looking for shows to cancel, cancel "The Chew" since "The Chew" is stupid and boring, "Anderson" since Anderson Cooper should stick with staying at CNN instead of wasting his time doing a syndicated talk show just to earn extra money to pay the bills, and "The Jeremy Kyle Show" since no one in America doesn't know who Jeremy Kyle is that he is a Jerry Springer wannabe and he should go back and stay in the United Kingdom where he belongs. We have enough British invasions already in America and we do not need any more of them.

Sad to hear his show is cancelled. I enjoyed watching it. I especially like that he incorporated vintage and used items in his decorating. Right now in my area on tv there is nothing worth watching. I guess I will just listen to NPR radio while I work around the house.
