Greenpoint's favorite bookstore will be hosting their third annual Holiday Open House to help fundraise for the Greenpoint Food Pantry and children in need. WORD will grace attendees with donuts from Peter Pan, holiday movies, and guest authors including Sarah MacLean, Michael Buckley, and Emma Straub.

Deck The Halls

Start crossing off items on your holiday shopping list at Nolita's very own mini-mall! But more chic, of course. Deck The Halls features a wide range of designers, jewelers, and artists selling one of a kind, unique finds that'll make your loved ones swoon in gratitude.

NYC Fire Department's Annual Santa Rescue

Price: Adults $8, Children $1
Gather the little ones and watch in awe as New York's bravest help rescue Santa from the perch of the New York City Fire Museum. After he's safe and sound, Santa will take gift requests and pose for photos, while everyone enjoys Christmas carols and hot chocolate to go round.

Handmade Holiday Craft Fair

David Sedaris

Price: Must purchase a copy of Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk or $10 Strand gift card
Strand will be hosting David Sedaris for a book reading of the author's latest collection of essays, Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk. The humorous collection features a humorous "cast of motley creatures deals with the frustrations of their daily lives."
