Santorum still does not have an issue that he can latch onto. He was no where from the beginning and all his rants about stuff he thinks are upper most in the minds of the American electorate are only his own fantasies.  If he, or any of those prizes on the all too frequent TPGOP stage show, had the courage to put forth exactly how they feel about taxes, unemployment benefits, health care, the wars in  Read More...

These people will use every single excuse imaginable in their quest to defend their bigoted views, but the worst part of it all is that it can be effective in changing public persuasion. It happened in California, where people were fooled into believing that allowing same-sex couple to get married would translate into teaching children (at any age), to be taught about homosexuality, and more specifically, about gay sex. It was ridiculous, sure, but there were enough people who bought such c__p to ban same-sex marriage. Even people who previously had little to no real objection with same-sex marriage, was fooled into thinking allowing such a thing would hurt children. Rick Santurum and his ilk ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Santorum should be very concerned. The Homosexual agenda is already being pushed in schools. Soon, there will be required learning and massive homosexual propaganda in books and teachings and our children will have no choice but to accept the indoctrination.

I"ve been keeping an eye on the curriculum that my kids are subjected to. The moment I see them teaching homosexuality as an acceptable moral choice, is the day my kids will be placed into private school. Homosexuality is something kids should learn about via their parents, not public/private school.

Umm...same-sex attraction is not just a subject to be studied, like math or science. If your kid is gay, he/she is gay. Whether this is covered in school or not will have no bearing on the gay kids at all. But- it might help the non-gay kids to understand it &, through education, will maybe make the world a little kinder.

I am afraid they will NOT teach children about "Santorums".

they teach most everything else in schools these days...so why not perversion also???...it is a free "sick" country anymore...

Certainly it would involve a full year if intense study or at least a semester leading to a PHD...right ?
A half hour explination of the law and reasons for it and a short discussion would lead to trouble.
Too much gay talk will turn any kid as gay as Prince but not enable them with the guitar, basketball, or pancake making skills. Ha Ha get a life

What children learn of marraige in school isn't going to compare to what children learn about successful marraige from their parents.

Straight couples score about 50 out of 100. When I went to school 50 was an "F".

Seems what children are learning of straight marraige is the real crisis.

I know it's scary to think that gay people are human beings too, but you'll get over it, Rick.

This bring a dead baby home to pass along to the living kids to "bond with it" lunatic seems must have had some bad learnin' in skool. Because the only sentences he seems able to structure together are those who include a noun, a verb, and a bit of hatefilled ugly rhetoric against Gays......................

ummm...when I was in school, we weren't taught about straight marriage either...nor were my (now) young adult children. So if we're not teaching about hetero marriage, why all of a sudden would we start teaching about gay marriage? And why on earth would Rick Santorum (feel free to google him) fear it?

My grandkids had a class called "Life", which involved balancing a checkbook, filling out job applications, making a grocery list, carrying a doll around town that cried at certain times, couldn't be left alone, etc. It was quite funny to see kids in the grocery store with their little baby doll in the cart. That would be an appropriate class to discuss marriage, of any kind. But it was not one of the topics. Of course, my Grandkids would get an A in gay marriage as their Uncle has been in a gay relationship for over 10 years, and they know him and his partner very well. And it hasn't worn off on any of the grandkids.

Just what schools is Santorum talking about? Straight marriage wasn’t taught in any school I attended. Biology was (which of course includes evolution and reproduction), but there were no lesson plans on “marriageâ€.

Usually the people who devote this much time vocalizating their anti-gay views are the same ones found having sex in public restrooms or buying male prostitutes. I'm just sayin' .....
