Lady Gaga Rocks Z100's Jingle Ball 2011 (PHOTOS)

Lady Gaga Jingle Ball 2011

NEW YORK — Lady Gaga was in the Christmas spirit at Z100's annual Jingle Ball concert, but her version of "White Christmas" would have made Bing Crosby blush.

Gaga performed a slightly naughty rendition of the holiday classic Friday night as part of her mini-concert at the radio station's event at Madison Square Garden. Gaga – sporting tight studded leather pants, matching top and a bare midriff – gyrated on a set that included antlers, Christmas trees and holiday lights as she performed "White Christmas."

"So I recently added a couple of lyrics to this song because I think it's too short. It's like when you really start to enjoy it it stops. It's like a really bad orgasm. Merry Christmas New York!" she shouted. Later, she made a suggestive pose as she gave a come hither coo to Santa.

But her performance wasn't all saucy. She was nostalgic and appreciative as she thanked the radio station for allowing her to be the headliner of this year's show, which included performances from Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, LMFAO, Pitbull, David Guetta, Foster the People, Hot Chelle Rae and more.

Gaga said her first concert as a young girl growing up in New York City was the Z100 Jingle Ball.

"I worked so hard and when I was 11 ... my mom got me tickets to Jingle Bell Ball," she said.

Gaga opened the Jingle Ball concert three years ago, she said: "I'll never forget there were a whole lot of superstars and no one knew who the hell I was. ... Some people thought I was going to be a one-hit wonder."

The singer, recently nominated for three Grammys, proved to be otherwise, and sang a few of her best-known songs, including "Telephone," "Just Dance" and "Edge of Glory."

She opened her performance by singing between several Christmas trees; later, she performed on a keytar shaped like a Christmas tree, and she ended the night dressed in a hospital gown, re-enacting the theme of her latest video, "Marry the Night."

A portion of the evening's proceeds will go to "STOMP Out Bullying," a program designed to reduce and prevent bullying, a cause close to Gaga's heart. Earlier this week, she went to the White House to meet with officials about the matter.

"It's important to keep everybody safe in school," Gaga told the audience before launching into her inspirational anthem "Born This Way."

She also told her fans that she was happy to be in New York City during the holidays.

"This city gave birth to me and I will always come home," she said.

The concert will air Dec. 18 on the Fuse network.

Gaga proves that just when you want to believe whatever it is you want to believe, suddenly the belief is not as great as the beauty it is!.....and that is a special thing.....

When the world realizes that gaga is without a doubt more than whatever she was then world peace will fluorish as much as her songs don't which is to say that she is not as big a phony as you would think because you don't listen to her and I don't because that is her greatness!

Peoplel dont hate. Gaga is a very gifted women. Look at all the solid experiences and back ground this woman has. Plus she takes care of her family and close friends. I would give anything to meet her and just have a simple talk about life with her. Plus my daughter is a fan.

Agree: Magahyped, talentless, hack: a very good summary of everything in popular music for one century!
Real music is Wagner ! Not jazz, rock, pop, disco and all american commercialism called "music" ; )

Hey, didn't Bush start an unnecessary war based on lies that got thousands of people killed and has never been held accountable for it? Hey, didn't deregulation collapse our economy by abolishing the Glass/Stiegel act? Hey, didn't another gay kid kill himself because of the hate being promoted by the churches that work for the GOP? Hey, didn't Newt Gingrich just call for Barney Frank to be arrested for the exact same thing he did? You wanna play this game? Okay.

GaGa is a talented musician & songwriter; doesn't mean that everyone has to like her music. Her outfits are no more outrageous or costume-like than many runway creations. Both are meant to be an expression of creativity by the artist; it doesn't mean you are going to see anyone wearing them to their upcoming holiday party. GaGa has enormous heart and she doesn't believe her own press like so many other ego-inflated, rude, ungrateful entertainers do. I love her music along with her ever changing looks. Her appreciation & interaction with her fans is refreshing; her vibe is positive & comes from a good place. GaGa is not for everyone. Neither is every other artist. To each his own.

Thank you, couldn't have said it better. She is both artistic and talented and those who write negative comments just demonstrate that they can't distinguish creativity and talent from the rest of the blah stuff out there.
11:56 PM on 12/10/2011
An absolutely lovely reply; thank you. Contrary to what her detractors believe, GaGa shows us her soul whether decorated or stripped raw. Emanating from her center is a cutting edge delight that radiates throughout her music & her creative spirit culminating in magic. GaGa is not someone you explain, she is someone you encounter and are endlessly enchanted by.

Careful! Th GAG-a fans will come scream at you for not drooling over her and her music.
You're not allowed to have an opinion that differs from theirs on her talent or perceived lack thereof. You will be called evil, rude and stewpid for not liking her 'style' or even for finding it derivative.
Just warning you, though I agree with you 100%.

Whether you like her or not, there is no disputing that she is an active force for good on this planet. If you want to put yourself up in opposition to that, that says a lot about you, and absolutely nothing about her.

Well, she fights for gay rights, which is more good then anyone on the right does. Of course she wouldn't need to do that if they would quit persecuting gays in the first place.
09:25 AM on 12/11/2011
She is also sponsored by corporations (Kraft, Google..) that give big amounts of money to anti-gay groups. She is not the part of the solution, she is part of the problem...
