'Austin Powers' To Be Made Into Musical: Mike Myers Will Not Star

"Rocky" isn't the only film to get a Broadway makeover; reportedly, Mike Myers is in talks to adapt his 60s-themed goofball comedy "Austin Powers" into a musical.

But before you say "groovy, baby," it turns out Myers may not be heading to the bright lights of Broadway.

According to Page Six, the actor will be "heavily involved in writing the show, but he will not star in it, even though he has quite a good singing voice."

But, don't despair! Myers hasn't hung up his crushed-velvet suit just yet, he will still be appearing in the fourth film of the series.

This character wore out his welcome after the first film. What makes anyone think people are going to pay Broadway ticket prices for somebody other than Mike Meyers aping his own one-joke parody?
