Back in the flip-phone days, the cellphone was the accessory. But now that smartphones are becoming de rigueur, the demand for after-market add-ons is increasing quickly.

According to ABI Research, a marketing research firm, mobile phone accessory sales will bring in over $50 billion a year by 2015.

iPhone users spend more than other smartphone owners on accessories. According to a survey conducted by online shopping site Retrevo, over a quarter of iPhone owners spend $100 or more on accessories for their phones, while only 16 percent of BlackBerry users and 14 percent of Android users spend that much.

Lots of people have iPhones. These items are suggestions, in case you intend to buy a holiday gift for one of them. "Must-have" has nothing to do with it.

Just what we need in at the movies.
Not only the brilliantly illuminated screens while people text each other while watching a movie, but now brilliantly illuminated phones even when people are NOT texting each other at the movies...

Everything is noise and bright lights today.

How lovely it must have been to sit down by candlelight at a soirée in Paris in 1835 and listen to Chopin and Liszt playing their own and each other's piano music - while nobody had anything to do but LISTEN...

Jeez, full disclosure, I like Apple and I have an iPhone. But I just wanna say I hope HP is getting some compensation for the endless torrent of marketing they do on Apple's behalf. Seriously, this site's love affair with anything related to Apple or Steve is kind of overwhelming sometimes. GET A ROOM ALREADY!!
