Geraldo Rivera: WABC's Newest Radio Host

Geraldo Rivera Signs On For A New Gig

Geraldo Rivera will add radio host to his resume.

The New York Times reported on Sunday that Rivera signed on to host the weekday 10 and 11 a.m. hours on WABC in Manhattan. Rivera will remain a weekend anchor and correspondent for Fox News. He will begin his new gig on WABC on January 3, 2012.

WABC, which is owned by Cumulus Media, announced the deal on Monday. Rivera's new show will be titled "GERALDO." WABC wrote that the tagline of the show "will reflect [Rivera's] dedication to patriotism and candid discourse -- 'Not Red. Not Blue. But Red, White & Blue.'" The show will feature national and local daily news coverage, as well as listener phone calls. This is Rivera's first radio show.

Rivera, who will cut his Fox News show "Geraldo at Large" from two nights to one, has covered the Occupy Wall Street protests live from Zuccotti Park. The Fox News correspondent has been sworn at during his reports. He was also attacked with powder in October.
