"Each book is one of a kind," just like your new love interest, wrote Talia, the artisan behind Conduit Press. "It shows them you care enough to find something that totally suits them and their personality."

Talia says that all of her hollow books are crafted from discarded books, which means "you're not only giving back to the earth by keeping something from the landfill (books are actually quite difficult to truly recycle) but you're also keeping the book love alive," she added.

If this earth-friendly and thoughtful gift goes over well, Conduit Press also offers hollowed-out books that hold everything from flasks to ring-bearer pillows -- gifts for every stage in your relationship.

Buy it here.

Oh...thank you, thank you, thank you. When I saw that guitar pick I knew right away this was the perfect gift. My husband and I have been happily married for over 30 years and this is the one (perfect!) gift I know he will treasure. I plan on purchasing it and I know what I'll have stamped on. It's a gift exactly like this~ that make the life long memories all the more sweeter. (:))

Happy holidays!
Blessings~

Did you leave an "R" out ?

I'd like the wooden iphone cover.

Of course, I'm a woman and do woodworking as a hobby. My husband surprises me with power tools that are on my wishlist. My dad does the same thing and also buys me fly fishing gear.

For him, it's usally books and cds he wants and clothing I know he already likes but in new colors. I tried (our first year together) giving him clothing I liked but that wasn't successful. After that fiasco, I watch for what he likes but just won't buy himself because of the price. Moral: don't try to change your husband/boyfriend. Love the man he is as he is.

Seeing these gifts confirms how much women don't understand us men. I would take a delicious sandwich over any of these products. And if you do purchase something, getting it in discount would be considered a declaration of love.

My wife knitted me a sweater. I now wear it every single day much to her dismay.

Why at a discount? If it's my money that I earn, why should you ever even know how much I spend?

My husband and I are a two income family and I make more. We don't ever have to ask the other's permission to spend our own money (though we do confer for large purchases) and we spend what we like on gifts to one another. I may find a $2,000 present I want to buy for him or I may find an out of print book he's been looking for for $3.50. Or I can do as I have done many times and build him something unique that fills a need. All are equally acceptable because they are given from the heart.

Likewise, I am grateful for the small and large kindnesses my husband does for me. I would never dream of setting limits on his generosity or expect him to spend more than he was comfortable. He usually finds a power tool I've been wanting or surprises me with a book, cd, or small piece of jewelry (I don't like large pieces). Whatever it is, I accept and thank him for his thoughtfulness.

Well I for one agree with you. I happen to be in the position of giving Christmas gifts to my new beau, and guess what? I got him BOTH a gift certificate (to his favorite store) AND a tie (with silly holiday characters he loves). Both of these things say much more about who is is, what he likes and what I love about him than anything on this silly list. These gifts may be unique, but they are only suitable to a small % of recipients. My boyfriend doesn't play the guitar, or even have an Ipad. Almost none of these would be appropriate for him. And who on earth REALLY wants a Top Gun shaving bag??

Same here! Not a single thing on that list seems like something my boyfriend would appreciate. To be honest, I'd be embarrassed to give him anything from it. Let's face it - there's no list out there that's comprehensive for all men, because every guy is different and will appreciate different things. Ladies, I mostly strongly recommend getting a gift that's as unique as your boyfriend is. :) He deserves it!

Thanks so much for including my LIFE IS ROSEY handstamped sterling silver guitar pick. It's such an honor to see my work in the Huffington Post! A very exciting day for a work-from-home full time mother of two/jewelry artisan! Many thanks for promoting very small business! :) Sarah Jane (owner/designer www.lifeisrosey.com)

I know this is a stupid question, but can you actually use the pick (bf plays the guitar, I don't)...

Yes, but you get a different sound than plastic. I like using a metal pick.
