Into The Fire: Heat Release Trailer For Documentary Film On Big Three's First Season

First Posted: 12/12/11 12:38 PM ET Updated: 12/12/11 07:59 PM ET

While turnout at this year's Miami Heat media day may not be what it was last fall, the team's pre-season hype machine has only slightly downsized.

In lieu of a city-wide bash featuring the Heat's Big Three ascending from the bowels of AmericanAirlines Arena, this year's city-wide bash features the Heat's Big Three projected onto an even bigger screen at AmericanAirlines, starring in their very own full-length docudrama, 'Into The Fire.'

The flick, produced by the Heat in association with NBA Entertainment, begins last July 9 at the infamous pyrotechnics-and-confetti-filled Welcome Party that gave the world its first look at LeBron James in a Miami uniform -- and it's 800th look at Chris Bosh looking like a dinosaur. And into the fire, indeed: following the ill-advised Decision debacle, the party turned the world against Miami even as it whipped Heat fans into a frenzy.

Narrated by Heat legend Alonzo Mourning, the film follows the NBA's most hated supersquad through training camp in the Panhandle all the way to the 2011 NBA Finals through a collage media clips and interviews with Miami Heat beat writers. And just like last year, the courtside 'do is free to fans, but tickets are required. Channel your inner Banana Man, print a pair at Ticketmaster, and hit AmericanAirlines on Saturday at 6 p.m. to feel the Heat.

I guess the 'Big Three' didn't get to whine enough after they lost last year. Now they have to spend a movie talking about how great they are. In my opinion, losers brag in promo movies while winners wear the ring.

Old joke:

If you give LaBron a dollar and ask for change, expect to get 75 cents...because he'll never give you the fourth quarter!!!

WTF? Until they win a championship, they are just 3 more overpaid, overhyped egomaniacs. It is also insulting to the other member of their team. It IS a team sport, isn't it?

You can say what ever you want about Lebron but he made the NBA exciting last season and he has built his brand with his association with the boys and girls club; his shoe deal, his minor ownership in Liverpool and other endorsements. When its all over with or without a "ring" instead of being a broke has been basketball player with bad knees he will be set financially.

All of this attention for what? La Baron not showing up mentally for a game that cost them the title.

Lebron was one of the the main reasons they got to the Finals. Lets cheer on the Heat they still have time to win it all.
