We saw them getting flirty at the red carpet premiere of "New Year's Eve" but Lea Michele and Ashton Kutcher will not be spending the actual night together.
The New York Daily News reports, that during an interview, the "Glee" actress asked Kutcher what his plans were for the last night of 2011 and had a suggestion for how he spend it. "Why don't you come celebrate with my big Italian family and me? They would die," she asked him.
In a smart move, Kutcher politely declined Lea's offer telling her, "I don't know where I'm going to be on New Year's, I haven't sorted it out."
We think Lea was just being playful and trying to ham it up for the cameras, but judging by how much she's gushed over the "Two and a Half Men" actor, we think she has a least a little crush on him.
Michele told New York Magazine of the film's casting process and conversations with director Garry Marshall, who wanted to know who she thought might play her love interest:
"I didn't mention Ashton's name just because, I gotta say, I kinda felt he was a little out of my league. You know, this guy's like, the hottest guy, and then when they called and said that Ashton was doing it, I was really freaked out. I thought I should have picked someone else and said, 'You have to use this person!' so I wouldn't have been nervous. But I'm so glad, because he challenged me, and it was a really great pairing, I think."
