Astro Explains 'X Factor' Tantrum, Talks Of 'Unfair' Treatment

Astro X Factor

At only 15 years old, "X Factor" contestant Brian "Astro" Bradley has confidence well beyond his years. However, when he landed in the bottom two on the competition show, his confidence quickly turned to arrogance. But according to Astro, his attitude was provoked by show insiders.

"Honestly, I just want to clear it up," Astro tells me. "Basically, when I was in the bottom two something happened behind the scenes of 'X Factor' the day before. I can't really talk about it but you know, I felt like 'X Factor' was treating me, like, unfairly. That was their way of punishing me. You know I may have been wrong but that's how I felt. So basically, they put me in the bottom two and I said I don't want to perform for people that don't want me. I didn't mean the people at home voting, I meant, like, 'X Factor.' I meant the show, that's it. And people kind of took my words the wrong way."

Even though Astro's behavior disappointed Simon Cowell, judge L.A. Reid is confident in the talented young man's future -- and so is Astro, himself.

"I'm not signed to anybody," Astro reveals about the rumors that he is already signed to Jay-Z's record label. "I don't have a check or a contract."

Although he hasn't met Jay-Z yet, Astro says he does have a meeting soon.

At 15, he already has a chip on his shoulder the size of Texas. It's just going to get bigger!

Can't he talk like a civilized person during an interview instead of acting like something he isn't? A thug?

It's always the fault of another. We are in control of our own reactions and outward displays. A man knows that. That is the true measure of a mature person, talent or no.

He got voted off because he lacked talent. That means he needs to work on improving his style and attitude.

Wow, a 15 year old thinks he was treated unfairly and some of you lose your minds and feel a need to go into hysterics. More cluelessness from the self-righteous.

I don't like rap, but I hated it from that punk. Glad he's gone!

Yeah, that's very BIG of you to attack a 15 year-old.

Look, I don't care if he's 15 or 50..he put himself on the show, so he should suck it up. So should you. And who are you, anyway? Some PC police type?

This young man is talented, but he needs to learn humility. Being humble will take him a long way. Why is he still traveling around being interviewed? He should be in school.

His stage name should be Lil Kanye, not Astro.

I am not a fan of rap but I do know that the music industry is all about networking and not everyone will like the work that you do. Many artists and entertainers began by working with or for someone or some company that they just decided to give them a chance and not necessarily because they liked them as a person. Business is business and often times that means checking you feelings at the door.

Additionall, without fail, everytime a black kid does something, we have introduce comments about race and poor upbringing. This is wrong. Recently had a discussioin about race relations with my students and it appears that they were correct..not much has changed.

Well, since my mother was my elementary school principal and my father was the next town's Superintendent I grew up knowing better than to throw temper tantrums in public....also to respect adults.....They taught me life isn't fair nor will it always go your way.....
But that's the good thing about opinions....we each have them and they usually are derived from our own experiences.
