Astro Explains 'X Factor' Tantrum, Talks Of 'Unfair' Treatment
At only 15 years old, "X Factor" contestant Brian "Astro" Bradley has confidence well beyond his years. However, when he landed in the bottom two on the competition show, his confidence quickly turned to arrogance. But according to Astro, his attitude was provoked by show insiders.
"Honestly, I just want to clear it up," Astro tells me. "Basically, when I was in the bottom two something happened behind the scenes of 'X Factor' the day before. I can't really talk about it but you know, I felt like 'X Factor' was treating me, like, unfairly. That was their way of punishing me. You know I may have been wrong but that's how I felt. So basically, they put me in the bottom two and I said I don't want to perform for people that don't want me. I didn't mean the people at home voting, I meant, like, 'X Factor.' I meant the show, that's it. And people kind of took my words the wrong way."
Even though Astro's behavior disappointed Simon Cowell, judge L.A. Reid is confident in the talented young man's future -- and so is Astro, himself.
"I'm not signed to anybody," Astro reveals about the rumors that he is already signed to Jay-Z's record label. "I don't have a check or a contract."
Although he hasn't met Jay-Z yet, Astro says he does have a meeting soon.
