If you were a fan of lip color in the '90s, you probably, at some point or another, wore Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. Moms wore it. Teenagers wore it. I still wear it. Created in 1971, it's been a cult-classic ever since. Black Honey is easily one of the most flattering lip colors; the sheer berry tint has the ability to look amazing on every skin tone. One of the great things about Almost Lipstick -- besides that amazing color -- is the balmy, moisturizing formula that leaves a subtle, stain effect.
Now Clinique has taken a good thing and made it better: In January, the company will release seven new colors in the Almost Lipstick line, which until now had just consisted of the lone Black Honey shade. The range will now include pinks, nudes, reds and browns. (My new favorite: Spicy Honey, a sheer brick red.) With just a slight wash of color, they've managed to make hard-to-pull-off colors super-wearable.
