Drake Forehead Tattoo: The Girl With Drake On Her Face

Drake Forehead Tattoo

A woman walks into an LA tattoo shop and says, "I want you to tattoo 'DRAKE' across my forehead."

That is how it all began... The Girl With The Drake Tattoo.

Kevin Campbell of Will Rise Tattoos sat down with Kara-Lis Coverdale at VICE to give the scoop on the now infamous forehead proclamation of love for Drake.

She was really psyched about it. She had the sh*tty font all picked out on her iPhone ready to go and was pretty adamant about putting it on her forehead -- She acted as if she had planned it out for a while, but I'm not really sure how much extended coherent thought could actually go into getting such a stupid tattoo on your forehead.

Campbell revealed that he also had no idea who the Canadian-born entertainer was. "I figured it was her hood or some sh*t, not some goofnugget R&B dude."

Since the inking, Campbell has started to get some negative feedback from fellow tattoo artists, along with feeling mixed about it himself. "It's not something I'd want to write home to mom about, if you know what I mean."

The Twitter-sphere has really picked up on this -- primarily because at first, no one thought it was real. @Commenturry wrote, "wow. the tattoo was real." and @yourstrulysf exclaimed, "SHE LIVES!!! @thefader just spotted #thegirlwiththedraketattoo Photo evidence forthcoming."

No word yet from Drake himself.

But perhaps it all makes some sense if there is a screenplay with the working title:

"The Girl with the Drake Head Tattoo."

I am sure the young woman who did this has a logical explanation. I even think were I able to talk to her I may even understand. But for Sistagirl--no thank you. A tattoo on your forehead? Why? But there is no end to the things folks won't do. I ain't knockin' nobody. If it's your thang? Do it good is all I can say. I have no tattoo's. My Sista told me it hurt. That was good enough for me. Shucks it took me over thirty five years to even get my ears pierced. But different strokes. Maybe she did it to meet him. To be honest if someone were to tattoo my name on their forehead I'd like to meet 'em. I'd call this a pretty "sincere" form of flattery. Or somethin'. I just hope they spelled it write. Just imagine if they wrote DRUNK instead of DRAKE. Chil' these folk is too much for me. Life.

At what point did the tattoo artist say "I am not doing this, find someone else." ?

Hello Myoho Mod: Money honey. Ain't many folk gonna pass it up. Remember Michael Jackson? I wouldn't even tattoo my own name on my forehead. LAWD have mercy. Life.

Thankfully I am friends with tattoo artists who, no matter what you were paying, would have said no. They all would have said, that is a perminate job stopper and you aren't a tattoo artist
