Eco-Friendly Party Dresses: Be A Green Glam Girl (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 12/13/11 01:27 PM ET   Updated: 12/13/11 01:30 PM ET

From EcoSalon:

Holiday dresses can be the bane of our December existence.

If you're lucky, you’re able to swap frocks with a friend or know of a fabulous consignment boutique that helps justify buying something new for a single party.

Why not think even further with your purchase this year and how you could wear it year round? We’ve found 10 dresses that can do just that and with just a spark of creativity, can be the dress that keeps on giving.

Carrie Parry's Red Bow Dress is made from 100% organic wool and domestically manufactured in New York City. The Bow Dress is a feminine, shift dress with a removable bow collar that "transitions easily from a day at the office to a night on the town." We love the festive red tights for the holidays as they add a fun style element to what could otherwise be a boring shift with safe, black tights and shoes.

(Also available in black.)

organic is important, so is fair trade ie decent working conditions and pay not just for the seamstresses but the people working on the fields and looking after the animals , and the treatment of those animals. sadly'' organic ''doesn't give me all that information.

Trust me, the author of this article is all about fair trade and decent working conditions. You can trust that when she says organic she means all of those things. :)

good, because organic doesn't always mean fair trade or , with food, free range.
