Jessica Alba Covers InStyle Australia January 2012 In A Hot Swimsuit (PHOTO)

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 12/13/2011 10:48 am Updated: 12/13/2011 3:45 pm

Hot mama! Mom of two Jessica Alba graces the January cover of InStyle Australia, showing off her toned post-baby body (she gave birth to second daughter Haven in August).

It's summer in Australia, that might explain why Jess is sporting a bathing suit with a matching caftan? Or a dress with a robe? Or a bodysuit with a jacket? We're going to go with a swimsuit.

As for the outfit itself, we're digging it, except for the beaded belt, which doesn't really go, no?

In the interview, Jess opens up about her new line of housewares and bath products, to be called The Honest Company:

"Our core item will be diapers," says Alba, adding that the idea behind the brand came when she was pregnant with Honor. "We also have household cleaning products and bodycare products."

She also dishes on her 3-year-old daughter Honor's budding style: "Honor is really girly. She likes to dress up, try on my high heels and play with purses."

Adorable!

Check out Jess' cover below, and read more from the interview here.

Jessica Alba has always been and will always be that pretty girl that can go from cute to hot to gorgeous with just an outfit change.

I love the fact that she acts and dresses like a mother and a woman with morales and self respect!

Kinda oversold this one with the headline. Very maternal swimsuit

Personality of a gnat and a completely talentless actress, but utterly beautiful there's no denying. We don't need the over-worked photoshop to help us out with that one, but if you could colour over her acting, that'd be lovely.

Photo shopping of the stars.. This beast would scare a bull dog off a bone wagon if it were not for photo shopping. Throw her a bone.

Are you serious? This is one truly beautiful, natural beauty. I would love to see what you look like- toothless and ugly for sure.

Nah, think you're wrong there. While I agree that she and every other "celebrity" are photoshopped to death, and they do not look as they do on their magazine covers, I will say I think Jessica Alba is a very pretty woman naturally. Lovely face.

How do you know that she has had all of this work done. Its not like her hair is that long and who cares about extensions. What face work has she had? I know it makes people feel better about themselves if they think she has had all this work done. Fact is she is naturally beautiful and I highly doubt she has had anywhere near that amount of work done.

People are just jealous. It's sad.

Alba has always been a natural beauty, right from the get-go. She's a stunner. Whether she can act, that's a different question. :) But her looks? There's no denying.

If she's had work done then how can she be a "natural" beauty?..personally I don't see anything special about her but to each his own..

All i can say is one word JEALOUS

I don't really like the fact fact that I'm getting on a soap box andits Jessica Alba, From all that I have heard she is a very nice person. I could be wrong , But I hope not so let just say all celebs after they lose their baby body. Hmmm Which direction do I go in, Lets see. Having full time child care and the personal trainers and having the time to do it plus all the air brushing and photoshop and make up.

and lets also face facts the clear motivation that as a sex symbol the way you earn a living is off that bod in the first place. So yes its possible boys and girls to look that good. But it will cost a ton of money. and time that the average person does not have. So please Mr Media enough with the headlines about these celebs of how they can look that good only after 2 weeks since she had a kid. ENough with this and pressure that it may give normal ladys to try and get back to their old look faster than it should be expected or needed.

That's total BS.

Now, sure: you either win the genetic lottery or not. But after that? It's all up to you. You find the time to work out. You find the time to eat a healthy diet. You find the time properly groom yourself. You find the time occasionally meditate.

And believe it or not, it's not that much time we're talking about.

Finally, people put pressure on themselves. Blaming the media for everything has gotten old. Hell, it was old 20 years ago. Why don't people start taking responsibility for themselves, and stop looking for some bogey man to blame for every little problem?

America needs to stop whining and start stepping up.

I agree with some points you have. First, there are genetics, so if a person was born with good bone structure, beautiful eyes, etc. that's a given. Second, lifestyle and self-esteem often play into how well a person does/or does not take care of their physical body. And third, having financial resources plays a HUGE role in the maintenance of beauty. Ivory soap goes so far. If these actresses didn't have the money (and time) they have to work out, cap their teeth, get facials and/or botox/plastic surgery, have the best hairdressers in the world to groom their tresses, high quality cosmetics and fabulous wardrobes, they would just look like any other reasonable attractive woman walking down Main St. USA.

Yes, people do make money off their physicality. It's been going on since the beginning of time, although the parameters of what is "beautiful" change throughout the centuries (think Rubeneque women a few hundred years ago.) Beauty sells.

Dear God,

In my next life, I would like to come back as someone whose existence means something to Jessica Alba :P

I guess you won't be coming back in the form of acting lessons then.
08:53 PM on 12/14/2011
she is a Revlon spokesmodel.. so someone sees something in her that you apparently don't see..
09:41 PM on 12/14/2011
Dude by that logic, 75% of the younger actresses cant act to save their lives - At least Alba looks good and comes across as a fun person. Not some closet emo-goth-weirdo like Kristin Stewart
