Listening to the people has not been something Obama & friends have been very good at.
Had he done so he would've spent his first two plus years trying to get jobs going first like he initially promised and THEN worked on getting Obamacare .
Even when the polls and the majority of the country showed how opposed they were to it, and Scott Brown gets elected to negate that process, he finagles his way past that to still pass it. So much for listening. I for one am tired of listening to him promise how spending our hard earned cash is going to make everything better. Did that, done that we still continue to do so with more unemployment extensions [key word being UNEMPLOYMENT], it ain't working.
Like most in government who feel that they know what's better for us than we do--he hears what he wants to hear.

Let's face it. His secret weapon is the GOP, if they blow up themselves. Unfortunately, President Obama can not run on his record, especially with a horrible economy and 25 million Americans out of work. So the only way for him to win is not run on his record, but to run against someone worse than him. It's a sad state of affairs for the country.
