Check out the photos, compiled below. But, this is an ever-growing compilation. Please share one or many of your favorite shots from the year's travels with us and other HuffPost Travel readers.

Great shots you awesome photographers. Thanks for sending in. Like they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words". However, these pictures are priceless.

Glad you like them, Saul! Where's your photo?

Glad that you asked Annemarie. But this was a year of mourning for me and my family. I lost my 12-1/2 years old nephew in a freak accident in July of this year. I do have pictures from first half of the month though, especially from late winter and early spring, but I may have been late already.

Am I the only one that can't see the photos?

Makes me want to get back into photography and travel! My past efforts at photography were very frustrating because the software that comes with the camera is junk. If I get a camera, I will shell out the money for Photoshop as well.

There are so many beautiful places. I love Firenze, Italy, Monte Carlos, the gardens of Versailles, Argentina, and so many others. These pictures are so uplifting and breathtaking...thanks for sharing.

My pictures are alll of United States. I dont travel to other countries. Keep my money in my own country. There are many places all over the world that are beautiful, but there are so many beautiful and interesting places in United States that people have never seen.

What kind of logic is this? Tourism helps the world as a whole. American cities depends of foreign tourists and if they were as close minded as you then the world would be a very sad place. Unfortunately, you are not alone since 80% of Americans don't even have passports. This helps fuel the "america is #1" and who cares about the rest of the world logic.

Plus, you won't get Montezuma's revenge while visiting Key West or Alaska.

#4 is Villefranche.

I look forward to these each year because there are always some spectacular photos, but this time is disappointing. I don't have time to look at all 205, but the only one I've seen so far that isn't painfully ordinary is No. 39, which just needs a little cropping to make a fantastic photo. The rest I looked at don't justify the bandwidth. But maybe there are more gems buried in what I didn't see.

Some of these are by talented people like Friedman. Some of the others don't even know where they were (it is Ephesus not Kusadasi - you got off the ship in Kusadasi). If I find time I will post some, including the library at Ephesus - and if they can cut this down to about 50 pictures including Mr Friedmans and mine it would make one heck of a slide show.

here's the crazy thing...I want to see the world without actually having to endure the travel. Sometimes, it IS about the destination, not the journey there. LOL!!
