Italians know how to celebrate Christmas Eve! Tradition holds that no meat should be consumed on Christmas Eve (vigilia di Natale), so Italians eat seafood. But they don't just eat one dish, they typically eat seven (the number is thought to represent the seven sacraments). And some families take it to the extreme and serve even more.
