Yes, that is Keira Knightley. And yes, that's Viggo Mortensen.

The Oscar-nominated actors go early 20th century in "A Dangerous Method," fully inhabiting the roles of psychology pioneers Sabina Spielrein and Sigmund Freud in David Cronenberg's thrilling new drama. Knightley's Spielrein goes from patient to lover (of the Carl Jung-playing Michael Fassbender) to a force in the field in her own right, and in this exclusive new clip, she challenges Freud on the psychology of sex.

The film scored VIggo Mortensen a Golden Globe nomination and Fassbender win the Spotlight Award from the National Board of Review. It's playing in select theaters.

Psychology veered from its roots of study of the soul and separated the body, mind and spirit, just like all disciplines. Freud wanted her to take Christ out of her work when Christ is a universal, eternal, infinite Unseen Spirit that is everywhere present. How interesting that most psychology just works on the ego and never gets to the depths of the psyche where it is found that all problems are merely a fabrication of the ego itself. The ego creates the problems and then creates the worry, anxiety and fear about the delusion. Comic really! It is as strangely funny as humanity taking the Spirit out of sexuality as well, removing the heart and soul of it. It is time to become whole once again and bring body, mind, emotions, eros, and Spirit back into one whole, glorious human being that we were all created to be: whole, free, and one with God. www.newheavenonearth.wordpress.com

This could be the movie of the year. At the very least I expect it will be nominated as such in the Oscars. Hopefully it will introduce many to the brilliant works of Freud.

She should be speaking about how to live on a crumb of bread a week and still be able to talk.....

There is something about Keira Knightley and Viggo Mortensen that makes it hard for me to take my eyes off of them whenever either one of them is on the screen.

She's been doing that incredibly annoying pout ever since she got her lips done. Give it a rest girl!

Both salubrious and lugubrious concurrently.

That photos i frightening, she looks like a concentration camp victim. I recall a couple years ago there were fashion shots of her when she was 'between jobs' and she had allowed some meat on her bones. She looked like a normal not-about-to-die woman

wow she's nominated how unique and different? she never gets ominated neither does Kate blanchett ,Winslet, Judi Dench, Nicole Kidman it's always the same boring ppl. I actually hate the way Keira acts she is always crunching up her nose and keeping the same expression on her face for every scene .

She's good. But I think she has yet to get that really great role.

Agreed. She is one of the actresses I would have liked to see portray Lisbeth Santander.

All attempts to make Keira Knightly into a cinema sex symbol have failed - at least with me. I have trouble seeing her as a "woman" because she's so gangly and unappealingly frail. Whenever I see her in a role where the character is supposed to be older than 14, I'm like "Really? Naw..."

I really wish she'd eat something before she vanishes altogether.

Freud was a complete weirdo. Seemed to have sex with patients all too often, along with a c addiction and some serious issues with his mother and father. His books say more about himself than they do about people in general. Still, through his fearless self-examination, we have been able to start the threads that have lead to modern psychology. Weirdo, nonetheless.

She seems to be the perfect actor when it comes to period pieces.
