Tea Party Grassroots

Posted: 12/15/11 04:27 PM ET

Interviews with activists across 20 U.S. states indicate that Tea Party groups, far from fading, have evolved into an increasingly sophisticated and effective network of activists. They are working to unseat establishment Republicans who they believe have betrayed the principles of lower taxes, limited government, and free markets.

Tea Party groups, far from fading, have evolved into an increasingly sophisticated and effective network of activists.

Asked how, they replied: "Well, we put the people with teeth up front so the pictures look better. That's a start, aint it? We're still workin on the rest."

Great! Let's get more O'Donnells and Angles nominated instead of middle of the road folks who might have a chance of being elected.

We want those extreme Baggers. They have proved their worth.

An astroturf movement back by corporate cash feels betrayed by the establishment republicans they were tricked into helping elect, so now they think they can actually avoid the same result in 2012?

I can't figure out why the Tea Party doesn't endorse Ron Paul. They're both libertarians!

The Tea Party was started by Ron Paul supporters in 07 (I was there!). In fact, today marks the 4th anniversary of that giant moneybomb which raised $6M+ for Ron Paul. I don't know if we'll be able to get that much during today's moneybomb, but I think it will be close.

As to your comment, the Tea Party is slowly moving back to it's Ron Paul roots. It's been a tough sell, especially on foreign policy, but I think that a lot of them are finally coming around. It will be interesting to see what the '10 Tea Party candidates do. I heard O'Donell (I think) endorsed Newt, which made me vomit a little in my mouth.

How many freshman teapartiers have accepted money from lobbyists? No different once elected from their Republican brothers.

which proves that teabaggers are stupid enough to throw away $6M+ AGAIN... and they have the nerve to say that we should be fiscally responsible....

Baggers are the ones respondible for voting these corporate lobbyist into office! America does not need another episode of their rediculus colonial garb, flag waving and waving weapons about like terrorist! These people are clearly ignorant of the political realities! Read a book on economics, political events, listen to other media sources other than right wing propaganda rhetoric! Speak to other people not just your militia member! Broden your horizons travel the world, take some college courses! Democracy is a good thing, Fascisim is not! Helping others is good, unemployment is bad! Corporate control of our political process is bad! Corruption is bad! Greed is bad! Think and stop listening to these Sedicious liers! Think!!!!

*sigh*

You're just so wrong. Do you even remember the Tea Party's first big issue? It was the bank bailouts. You know, standing AGAINST the biggest corporate money grab in the history of the world?

The T-Party has an 11% approval rating with the American people. Independents decide elections. They say the more they learn about the T-Party, the less they like what they see. T-Party members think that 2012 will be a repeat of 2010. Actually 2012 will be more of a repeat of 2006 and 2008 when the GOP lost seats.

Why can't he be? Can you tell me why he can't? Just because you say so? Because idiot media says so? Many people support him, if you actually took time to educate yourself, if you actually believe in your Constitutional rights, you would support him. =) Ron Paul supports your rights. Your right to choose for yourself. Your right to decide what is right for YOU. Not for the government to decide what is right for you.

Unfortunately, every other candidate would prefer to fob off their choices upon you.

Ron Paul doesn't believe that way. That is why I support Ron Paul.
