Tori Spelling and hubby Dean McDermott got an early Christmas present in the form of a buyer for their Encino home. While they didn't get the price they were hoping for -- $3.19 million -- we suspect they were glad, in this market, that Santa deposited $2.5 million in their holiday stocking. The home was listed last April and changed hands Dec. 1.
The 6,718-square-foot Tuscan-style villa has six bedrooms and a silver-leafed, coffered ceiling in the dining room. The house was built in 2001 and was featured in the couple's reality TV show, "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood." Their series, "Tori & Dean: Storibook Weddings," aired this year.
Spelling, 38, recently became a mama for the third time. She introduced 9-week-old baby Hattie to the world this week.
Spelling and McDermott bought the house in 2008, paying $2.945 million, public records show. So yeah, it's a loss, but as Grandma Candy Spelling might advise, when it's time to move on, it's time to move on.
Amy Colvin of Hilton & Hyland, Beverly Hills, and Sara Berger of Westside Estates Agency, Beverly Hills, shared the listing. Dustin Brashear of John Aaroe Group found the buyer.
