Wedding Dress Trends For Spring 2012

If you're looking for a fashion-forward wedding dress, you better be looking towards the bridal runway for inspiration.

But if you happened to miss the latest bridal fashion week, don't worry -- The Knot has compiled all of the hottest wedding dress trends from the Spring 2012 season.

In this video, The Knot gives us an inside look at the top trends and how they were executed flawlessly on the NYC runway this season. In addition to interviews with esteemed bridal designers Monique Lhuillier and Reem Acra, this clip also features wedding dress experts Mara Urshel of Kleinfeld Bridal and Mark Ingram of Ingram Atelier, who talk about the winning trends and why they were so big this year.

Among the top trends were sexy slits, deep plunging v's, and lots of sparkle -- all influences from the red carpet. Cap sleeves, fringe, and color also made a splash.

Most of the dresses look more like party dresses or evening gowns - definitely not bridal. I wonder what the churches and synagogs are going to say about the high slits. Definitely not something I would consider buying for my daughter's wedding.

Yuck! I can tell I'm going to have trouble finding a wedding dress I like this year.
