Britney Spears, Jason Trawick Engaged: Singer, Boyfriend Getting Married

Pop's first princess is engaged! Britney Spears' longtime boyfriend Jason Trawick popped the question on Thursday night -- on his 40th birthday -- People confirms. And Spears doesn't seem to be staying mum with the happy news. The "Till The World Ends" singer tweeted about her soon-to-be "till death do us part" partner's special surprise Friday Morning.

"OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo," she told her 11.8 million followers.

Trawick and Spears first met under the guise of a professional relationship when he worked as her manager but he later stepped down in order to continue a romantic relationship with Spears. But just because their professional relationship is over, doesn't mean that they won't be getting down to business when it comes to their nuptials. According to TMZ, Trawick will be signing a prenup.

But this isn't Britney's first rodeo. She married backup dancer Kevin Federline in 2004 before the pair were officially divorced three years later -- but not before the couple welcomed two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Forget the Kardashians, this is one wedding for which we'd gladly sit in front of the TV for four hours.

Oh, no! Huge mistake! She should just focus on herself and her children for a while. Before you know it, they'll be breaking up and she'll be having another mental break down. I don't understand the purpose of getting married for a third time.

Agreed. And besides.... I remember the big upset when they wanted to change her image to what became more "shameless" rather than the good girl look. I also remember the look on her face as they talked about it on TV. the girl was told to be that way... to be honest, I never get too into singers but... I agree. soft spot.
